Filson is still good, but it’s not as good as it used to be and it’s now absurdly overpriced. They ask for double or triple what the same garment would be asked for from comparable companies. They are selling basic cotton hoodies for $200 and basic wool sweaters for nearly $500. That’s insane from an outdoor/workwear brand.

This will be ma 2nd winter without winter shoes. Last year I almost didn't go outside because I'd slip with the shoeas I have. I'd cycle in the snow though the days I had to go to the office and couldn't work online.

I can agree that aesthetically they’re better than most but there’s no one thing they sell which the same thing can’t be found elsewhere. In fact, the only really unique thing they sell is the waxed tin cloth stuff, but even that is a lot like any waxed canvas or duck.

Especially when you're in Europe you can find some amazing deals. Essentially new lined tin jacket for 150 bucks? Those cost like 700 now.
