No they are filled with synthetic materials aimed at instant comfort but will not hold up to actual use.
>b-b-but muh ecelebs on youtube said they're good

I happen to own 875s and IRs. The 875s have a roomier toe box, not enough to go down half a size (if you got IRs or any RW boot, get the same size) but fefinitively the room is there. They're as easy if not more to break in as IRs. I thought that the wedge sole would be softer and more cushioned than it really is, footbed is a bit harder than expected. But overall a comfy boot if you're gonna stay in your feet for long periods of time.
Also the leather of the 875s gets a lot of rich undertones as it ages, so the more you wear them, the better they look.
I'm very happy with mine and I didn't even like moc toes at first.

They're hard to compare because they're very different aestheticalywise. The IRs are my goto everyday boot, I wear them with jeans and flannels or sometimes I dress them up a bit with smart casual or even business caual, with chinos, ocbds and stuff like that. I'd say they're more versatile than the mocs.
I've got a couple other service type boots, but I don't think I'll get another moc until it's time to replace the 875s.

Where do you guys buy sneakers?

I bought these earlier this year. At first I hated them, really tough to break in and squeaky.
Eventually they softened and I removed the thick insole they came with and they've become extremely good.

Only problem is, with all the leather and lining and all of that they get hot. Not good for summer.

I wonder what the relation between the leather (quality, tanning, etc) and how much a product altrrs the color is.
I used a product on my Beckmans and they didn't change color at all. Used the same product on some old beaten cheap boots I had lying around and they went from light brown, almost tan, to dark brown.

On the subject of split toes: I own a pair of TLB split toes for about 18 months now (and another currently on the way)
Anyway so I've been wearing them to work maybe once a week for the past year and a half, no issues.
Until this week when I did a bit of a cleanup and polish and wore them again and some guy in the office who is in his 60's and Italian asked me "do you know what your shoes are called?" and I had to pretend to be clueless and said no, then he said they're called Norwegian and he can always tell everything about a guy by just looking at his shoes.
I don't know what he meant by that.

I did not mention to him that he has been wearing some glued tassel loafers every single day since July.

for one the heel can wear faster than the rest of the sole depending on how you walk. if you have a heel stack you can have a cobbler replace just the rubber on the heel for peanuts vs replacing an entire sole. it also means you can change the height/shape/ of the heel without changing the rest of the sole.
how do you niggas dont know this, do you just wear doc martens?

1 piece of rubber means 1 whole rubber piece acts as the entire heel, like on WW2 boots, not that the entire sole and heel is in 1 piece like an unit sole. Then, they could be replaced like you mentioned, without replacing the sole

For once, load your brains first before replying.

I'm thinking of ordering a pair of dark brown suede chelseas for the office simply because they should be extremely comfy

Is it gay though?

Alternatively I thought about doing Carmina's "waxy commander" leather for less gayness, but I'd have to do an MTO for width anyway so I'd go with ridgeway sole to be lower profile.
