BUT
>too big and thick to ever be a dedicated dress watch

what the fuck is their problem, some of these porcelain watches would be incredible if you could actually wear them as dress pieces.

Yes, it is me. I had to get it serviced because it needed a new ratchet wheel and Zenith won't sell parts to independent watchmakers anymore. So it went in about 2 years ago, got it back last year, and I ran it for a year against the Citizen 0100. It won. lol Hope you're well, fren...the pic is just for you.

I'm not against seiko and honestly I would love to like them but frankly they just don't make good products. Their affordable watches are confusingly lacking in basic shit like sapphire crystals and have terrible bracelets and even have common QC issues like misaligned indexes. Their middle of the road $1k-2k~ watches 3hz movements and many times less than 50 hours of power reserve, the Swiss equivalent will at least have a 4hz movement and/or 70~ hours of power. Their high end luxury line consists of 90% the same watch with a different dial. And across every price range they seem to deliberately discontinue every decent watch that a lot of people like. They have some cool watches, but overall their products and range and the direction of their lines are questionable at best.

He presents himself on the "safe side" of watch reviewing, it's just mostly praises on watch brands since he's a seller. He doesn't seem to pinpoint on QC issues or just tell about flimsy materials used or cost cutting shortcuts.
His comparisons to a presented watch usually revolves around existing watches on his pesonal collection or some of his employees, which is recycled in most scenes and video release.
You know his videographer is rushing when there are dusts on the watches.
He seems to be Kevin's trolled toy.
He also gave her partner an Indian/Paki watch brand as a milestone gift. Good morning Sir.

That doesn't mean they aren't "ugly" at all. A watch can be ugly to most people and beautiful to some. Get it now you fucking mouthbreather? It's the same with modern architecture. Many people hate minimalist glass towers, a lot of scientists and engineers like them for their "purity".

Considering you were just talking about what it looks like, one reading your words could only presume you mean the appearance is an acquired taste and engineers like its appearance.

Just because you didn't say those words verbatim doesn't mean that's not what your post means. You either didn't say what you mean, and that's something you should work on, or you're just being a contrarian faggot trying to walk back what you said because someone called you on it being obviously retarded. Ball as a historical company is actually really based. They were the among the most notable clock and watchmakers in America and their founder was a really significant figure in timekeeping standards from time zones to safety and efficiency regulations for railroads, and his standards for timekeeping on trains were the basis for the swiss COSC standards.

Unfortunately the original ball went out of business and the ball of today is a shambling corpse resurrected by a Chinese holding company and quartered in Switzerland so that they can make the sweet swiss watch claims.

>> No.17832581

>>17832575
Maybe you just wore it differently over the day. Watches are (if they are) regulated in different positions and will have different accuracy depending on which position they are in. It's impossible for a watchmaker to predict how you're going to be holding your hand over the course of the day. It also depends on how wound the watch is as the torque will change significantly, effecting the speed of the watch.
