How do I deal with x stain?
>mud: allow it to dry then brush off
>salt: water and cloth as soon as possible
>saturated wet: allow the boot to dry for a full day, stuff with newspaper
>scuffs and scratches: buff vigorously with horsehair brush

>Should I buy turdsdays/soloshits/doc shitans?
No they are filled with synthetic materials aimed at instant comfort but will not hold up to actual use.
>b-b-but muh ecelebs on youtube said they're good
no. you will waste your time and money and still have uncomfortable footwear at the end of the day. spend the extra $100 and get something real.

How much "platform" can boots have without being considered platform boots? I own shell boots and my answer is no. Pic related.

It's too shiny and draws too much attention. People will comment on it.

Also the first few wears the fat comes out in the creases, the areas that look pink in your photo will actually turn white, which draws even more attention to it. You can brush it away and after 3-4 wears this stops.

Anyway no idea what he did to turn the creases pink, I guess there's a lot of product on them.

Maybe hatch shell is better and less shiny. Also maybe better on more casual outfits so you can wear it outside where shell really shines in direct sunlight.

I actually thought of doing this bimaterial combo at TLB, but on a normal field boot (galway clone), not a split toe.

TLB doesn't have a lot of options but they do have Horween hatch grain and they do have dark brown suede from CF Stead.

Total comes out to just 488€ for me right now, an absolute steal for MTO field boots.

I am an autistic retarded sperglord who doesn't know a single thing about clothes or fashion and especially boots, but I need to buy a pair for the purpose of walking in snow and rain in a city environment. Because I'm retarded and ugly I'm also poor and therefore don't care about brands or fashion because I will be ugly regardless, however I am happy to pay up for boots that are made well and will last. Also despite what I said I would still prefer something that looks decent just so I don't stand out as uglier than I already do. If they also work well enough that they can be worn in a professional environment with work/dress clothes that's a nice bonus but not strictly necessary. Please recommend some boots for me to buy/check out. The only decent pair of shoes I've ever owned are a pair of florsheims I bought at a burlingtons like 10 years ago, I like them. They're nice. I scratched them on a glass door though unfortunately, because I'm retarded.

>> No.17830713

>>17830708
Casual I guess, it doesn't have to be dressy. Doesn't need to be construction steel toed style or anything either. The important part is it needs to be good for snow and rain. I was just wondering if there was a kind of casual boot that wouldn't also look completely out of place with a button up shirt and pants in an office environment. But casual is fine, I can get something else more dressy later if I have to.

I'm running into a problem with a pair of suede chelsea boots. They're my size but for some reason my feet keep slipping forward a bit on them when I wañk. As a result my toes get all bunched up and I get a lot of heel slippage too. I tried to put a thin leather insole on them and it made the fit a bit tighter but didn't prevent this issue by any noticeable margin. Is there something I can do ot should I just ditch them?
For the record I have anothet pair of chelseas in leather, same size, different maker, and they don't have this isdue at all.

I don't own Justin boots nor roper/western boots so can't really help you there. However I used to own a biker/roper pair of boots years ago and they were 43EUR. My advice would be to get the size closest to your EUR size, ot will help putting them on and ofg. If they end up being a tad too big, wear them with thick wool socks and a thin leather insert if needed. Don't fall for the get your boots very tight meme.
