I am once again asking for unabashedly masculine 10/10 fragrances, one for each season, for spring, summer, fall, as I already have Fahrenheit for winter. Something my grandpa would've worn, none of this metrosexual gourmand garbage. I dress somewhat Ivy League if that helps, hopefully you can imagine the fragrance for each season with khaki chinos and OCBDs in spring, madras and boat shoes in the summer, a Barbour and corduroys in the fall, navy blazer and wool slacks in the winter. Thanks.

Normal diocesan priests don't usually take a vow of poverty, they take a promise of simplicity, which is different and more vague and more flexible. It means not extravagant, not extravagant living quarters or vehicle or lifestyle. If you're a religious priest, like part of a community and one of their vows is poverty, you do take a vow of poverty.

both are smokey, but they are really different. I'll actually get a bottle of each, have Quorum already. It's very similar to Polo (green bottle), more smokey, less citrus (if I got it right, unlike Polo it doesn't give me an allergic reaction that I usually get from the citrus parts). Still it's rather zesty and green. Aramis on the other hand is very comfy kind of smoke and spices blend.

Most italian brands base their marketing on the fact that they're italian, so very artistic and conceptual and niche and local, but their fragrances are very often just bad and uninspired.
There are exceptions of course, like Profumum Roma and Filippo Sorcinelli/UNUM, but they're few and far in between, and everyone knows about them already.

Aramis is too much for this century and Quorum has some cheap grandpa vibes (even if it's very good at 15 bucks).
I'd instead get Polo Green bc better smell, ingredients, formulation and, to be honest, to be socially acceptable. If you want the normie flanker, Polo Cologne Intense is more modern and soft. Minty opening, patchouly and vetyver drydown. I've been using the last one the whole summer.

After picking up some sample last week and giving each a full day wear here are my thoughts

>Nishane Paplefinko
Okay, kind of reminds me of those generic lollipops you get with the plastic wrapper. Too much of it gives me a headache, but too little and its hardly noticeable 6/10

>Nishane Fan Your Flames
Coconut my ass. Maybe a coconut was on a table during the manufacturing but this is all cedar, its a mess and not a pleasant one
1/10

>BDK Creme de Cuir
Nice, warm and comforting, not a juicy opening but very subtle and pleasant. Id imagine those influencers who only wear beige, this is what they want to smell like. Inoffensive but very nice. 8/10

>BDK Gris Charnel
A tad bit spicy, the name for some reason evokes the image of tv static to me. Fuzzy and warming, after a few hours after the dry down the linger smell is very reminiscent of petrichor
8/10

>MDCI Invasion Barbare
Full disclosure I don't have a lot of experience with "barbershop" frags so I can't really say this is the best as many reviewers claim it is. Nice sharp green opening, that feels sparkly in a way. For some reason it smells exactly like my friends childhood home. 7/10

>Xerjoff Naxos
Finally, a hyped frag that lives up to the hype. Everything I want is sweet, comforting not cloying, and subtle. I swear I used to have a bar of soap I got once in Vancouver. 10/10

Okay - consider this: It sounds like you are looking for a scent that somewhat matches the scents of church work, but may have a differentiating primary note. It should also lean more intimate rather than having a large push in terms of sillage. Consider "Dark" by Akro fragrances. It is a dark chocolate / smokey fragrance that smells like incense smoke and high quality chocolate. It is from Akro which is a fragrance brand by Olivier Cresp focusing on physical indulgences. If "Dark" sounds too gourmand for you, also consider "Smoke" and "Ink" from them as well.

I believe luckyscent has samples for all for them for like $4 each.

Why? Just because some pagan race-cohort faggots told you that Jesus oppressing they race? Let them be Satanist and worshipping Saturn/Cronus/Odin and Gods creation(race) more than the creator itself.

Time to recommend my signature frag. Esencia EdP. Imagine Aventus but more mature and refined. Less sweet, fruity and smoky, more woody, spicy, earthy and green. Nice lavender gives it a lovely classy touch. Opening is very similar to Aventus, but after that it distances itself more and more, becoming woody aromatic. Some say it's the best Aventus clone, others say it's the better Aventus. All I can say is that there are definitely some similarities but that I like Esencia much more than Aventus.

Don't the individual ingredients react with each other? So if you want to smell like vanilla and citrus you can't just mix both, wou'd have to mix 2 or more completely different materials that somehow only smell like that when mixed with each other and in the right proportions? I'd imagine this would be way above the abilities of an amateur.

>> No.17821934

i don't think its always like this, but for some smells it is.

for some smells there is no one molecule that produces it, but a sensation that is produced when two different chemicals are smelled together. chocolate is one example of this.

for an amateur this definitely would take a while to become used to which ingredients produce which scents for sure, but there are databases that give you products to use to produce a specific note.

I know I'm gonna get a lot of shit and getting called a shill from you contrarian faggots but PdM makes good fucking frags. For years I never even bothered with sampling their stuff because people here kept shitting on them and so I just accepted that their frags are garbage and not worth it. Every other place on the internet, be it fragrantica or parfumo or reddit or youtube praised their frags up and down but I just ignored it, "knowing" that they are bad. And yeah I know actual shills exist, but not to that extent. So a few weeks ago I was ordering another batch of samples of frags I was interested in, but couldn't reach the minimum amount for free shipping. So I just said fuck it and added a handful of PdM samples. Those I ordered were fucking good! Well blended, great scents that actually smell high quality, and very long lasting on top! A really nice fusion between mainstream designer and niche. You goddamn cunts. Never should have listened to you. I should have known that most of you just love to hate on the popular thing in order to be different.

The other four replies are massive cope. They are good frags, are typically very high quality, are better than the frags they are "copying" , or are making available scent profiles that would otherwise be very difficult to actually get hands on.

For example I tried Fierce and it turns out Percival is way better simply because it uses better aroma chemicals so it doesn't have that weird mall synthetic smell. The other one that these tards jerk each other off about is the Amber Narguille which is great, but lasts like 4 hours tops and is very light because it's an edt. Instead you can get Oajan which is fairly close, and will last you into the next day with just a couple of spray. Plus, actually buying Narguille is a pain because is often unavailable, while Oajan is always on sale even at discounters.

I think they've just learned to hate PdM because a couple of the autists on here constantly bitch about it.
