the fragrance industry regularly phases out ingredients that are found to be somehow harmful, but they're producing new molecules constantly and the lag between isolating an aromachemical and finding out it has negative effects can be decades.

>>17805862
Everything can cause premature aging and oxygen is the worst. Just stop breathing and you will stop aging. It really is that simple.
In all honesty, fragrances are alcohol-based (ethanol). Alcohol (not all of them, but certainly ethanol) is a disinfectant because it denatures protein and breaks up cell walls. It does the same to your skin. But the clothes rubbing on your skin the whole day also cause a lot of cell damage, not even mentioning the nitrosamine-laden food you eat every day or the air filled with particulate matter and nitrous oxides. Whether or not fragrances get really absorbed into your skin is hard to tell, but systemic exposure is likely very low. If you're still worried, just spray it on your clothes.

I’d consider those three mysterious for their own reasons, reserved because their classical composition, and a bit asocial because they’re a feminine leaning fragrance being worn by a man.

edt and edp are simply not the same fragrance. edt has more volatile compounds, as a result it projects more but lasts less, but even that is not a given. the alcohol itself is gone within seconds and doesn't affect longevity or projection. there's also nothing that defines which concentration is which, just merely a suggestion manufacturers don't have to stick to. you can have edps and edts with the same amount of fragrance oils, because the manufacturer just felt like it.

I had the chance to try Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male Elixir at a local mall yesterday and I'm really mixed about it. It's a bit overwhelming & weirdly synthetic-smelling at first but gets more pleasant and agreeable on the dry down. However, I still found it to be a bit on the "powdery sweet" side which is not a plus for me. Like, I dunno, it tries too hard to be too sexy & sweet, if that makes any sense. That depends, because some of them aren't like the OG at all. The OG is a shadow of its former self but if you like the current version, you're fine. The Le Parfum version by Quentin Bisch reminds me of how the OG used to be, although in sweeter and with more vanilla, so that one is worth checking out.
Other than that, Fleur du Male used to be pretty good, but they discontinued it. Le Beau and Le Beau Parfum are sufficiently different, and some anon ITT really likes the Parfum, but it didn't convince me (smells off, it's a personal thing).
And it pains me to say it, but >>17807350 is probably right. The whole Pride thing might be cringe as fuck, but it's a good citrus-neroli frag. It's also a good litmus test for what fragrantica ratings are worth (absolutely NOTHING), since people on there can't look past the bottle and rate that instead. Great ratings on parfumo, by the way. Not that it matters, because the final deciding factor is your own nose, but fragrantica can't even rate a fragrance for its smell and it really shows with this one.

>>17807618
Ratings really do not matter. Modern synthetic fragrance molecules are not perceived in the same way by everyone. It has become really difficult to trust anything online. All those synthetics might do a 180 under someones nose, and it also affects some older fragrances. For example, someone told me that Chanel Egoiste almost made them puke - but I love that shit. I can't smell certain mixtures of iso-e super while others smell like pencil shavings, same thing is happening to other people. Ambroxan smells like soft woods and nothing like Sauvage to me. Vetiveryl acetate is musty decomposing grass, I would never consider it as a fragrance ingredient, yet people swear by Encre Noire and Terre d'Hermes. Javanol and cashmeran smell great to me, but other people absolutely hate them (in fact, javanol smells so great to me that I'd wear it as a straight fragrance, without anything else mixed in). Trust your nose.

What about the other two dehn el oud, i.e. Cambodi and Mubarak? Cambodi is way more expensive than the other two, I wonder if it contains more actual oud to justify the price.

Yes, don't buy testers, some of those brands don't even have testers to send to stores.

Most of fakes sell their fragrances as testers so they can get away away with the obvious manufacturing differences

Im conflicted man. I got in contact with the guy who sells it since he is an uncle from a coworker of mine. Hes an old retired man who worked in a restribution sector for 30 years and thats how he gets the perfumes for free. He is also a devout christian who sends me bible verses every morning. He does this for extra money and to make people happy. He simply does not seem like a scammer. The tom ford bottles do seem cheap as fuck but the fragrance itself is great. All three have quality scent that last 12+ hours. Albeit that the projection aint so great. He also had other fragrances that I checked xerjoff, mfk, roja and those were legit. I didnt check the creed bottles so idk how they are

Because the bottles have "class". They are well made, heavy. It does not make sense to me to spend all that effort to make a quality bottle just to be it fake: now the Tom ford one can be fake since the bottles arent impressive. The atomizer was perfect and the scent was pure quality. I sprayed it once on my wirst to test it and I could smell it the whole day. Idk maybe im wrong but I doubt it. Im probably only gonna ask xerjoff bottles from him since atleast with those I can be more sure its real
