I'm not very familiar with a lot of different Arabian fragrances, but I have used a couple and the one I'm currently using right now is Arabian Leather Musk from Arabian Oud (www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Arabian-Oud/Arabian-Leather-Musk-76555.html) which I honestly really, really like. I received my testers today. I’ve done a small bit of testing so far. I decided to try on Toy Boy first. It opens up with a very pleasant deep rose scent and it’s nicer than I’d expected it to be. I don’t see why it’s polarizing. I then did three strip tests. H24 is remarkably boring. I imagine it’s a good everyday fragrance but it’s quite boring. Amouage Gold is fantastic but I can only see myself wearing it in situations like church or meetings, I still enjoy it very much. Last one I tried is le male, and it’s absolutely amazing, right off the bat it’s fantastic sweet and warm. Im letting them dry for awhile and I’ll see how they’ve changed in about 15 more minutes.

You just have to realize that nobody out there knows that something can smell "cloying" (lmao), they only know whether you smell good or bad. If someone tells you you smell "cloying" tell them to pull their snobbish nose out of their ass and that you aren't troubled enough to own multiple bottles of smelly water (that would be absurd). Where do you guys spray fragrances? I heard that the alcohol in them prematurely ages your skin, mainly neck and chest area.

Part of my order yesterday, also I got a decant of Krissana, varuek and Nilmalee and 0.3ml samples of what I assume is the entire Prin, Prissana and Rogue lines, so if anyone want me to test an specific fragrance from those, let me know.

Bon Monsieur is a classic fougere, similar to mousse iluminee with less focus on the oakmoss. Chypre syam is a classic chypre with a really distinct and beautiful citric top note that dries into a soapy leathery accord and Targhee forest is kind of a middle ground between bon Monsieur and a chypre. I need to test it more but I might even like it more than bon Monsieur.

Maybe a weird question, but I feel like I almost never see menthol/mint as a fragrance ingredient, is that just me?

I mean in the age of ambroxan, akigalawood, and many other artificial scents, I would think putting straight menthol into a fragrance would be more popular than it is, and in my (admittedly very limited) experience, it’s nearly nonexistent.

Just dabbed it on my wrist. Deep, aromatic , woody, smokey and surprisingly, knowing that it has actual skunk tincture , just slightly animalic. It's also, slightly sweet, leathery and I can also detect some dusty varnish wood smell. The more it dries down the more I like it . The animalic part gets mellower and it fluctuates and mutates between the aromatics herbs and old furniture/old paper/ink.


Didn't expect to like it this much, I expected a totally unwearable animalic bomb, but it's really rich , deep and gentle. Beautiful . If it keeps developing like this, it might even be my next prin next month

It’s meant to smell like old books. Instead I get a cloying powdery plum note with some leather undertones. Not blown away by this.

Bal d'Afrique
Fairly generic citrus/woody/aromatic fragrance. Smells like something Creed would make. Lasts about as long as well (2 hours).

I might get a full sample or decant of Black Saffron. Will report back once I’ve had a few wears.

Getting reviews on frags is easy, but each frag will vary person to person, so having that many by a single person is a better reference imo.

I just ordered samples Avignon by Comme des Garcons and Cardinal by Heeley in search of a Catholic mass scent. The site didn't offer LAVS, but I'll hopefully sample that soon. Tell me how you like LAVS if you do sample it/order it, especially if you've tried the other two I've listed.

I just tried Tom Ford Ombre Leather (parfum) and Black Orchid (parfum) and both smell horrible to me.

What parfum strength do you recommend for men? Chanel Bleu is my favorite fragrance, Sauvage Dior is my second but it seems it's too popular and I don't want to smell like everyone else. I like these type of notes, I hate the opposite.

I am not sure if I should get the Sauvage elixir instead, it seems everyone has the parfum or eau de parfum.

I've tried it, it's a splendid quality frag and you ought to try it out if you're into incense.
Performance aside, it smells like smokey, charred, burnt olibanum with some myrrh, black pepper and some other nondescript spice, and it gives a very dark, eerie impression to me.
The charred, burn part is quite different from any other incense frag I've tried, and is the reason why you should sample it before committing to a full bottle.
Performance is about as good as it gets on my skin.
It's a better frag than Avignon in both performance and realism, but Cardinal is the most accurate "church incense" frag I've tried, better than LAVS in this regard, even if performance is even worse than Avignon's.

I still have zero ideas as to what the fuck animalic is supposed to be, lmao.

When to a local shop and tried Black Knight, Etruscan Water, and Sticky Fingers and was shocked at how similar the three were. Got a sample of BK and EW, but didn’t even bother with SF.

Haven’t given them the full skin test yet though.
