I really love the Polaris too but you gotta give credit where credit is due. Bought are nice watches tho.

That being said, the reissue of the Legend Diver is better than the new Polaris when it comes to recreate the vintage look and being loyal to it's origin.

The new Legend Diver feels like a vintage watch, the JLC one feels more like a Rolex Explorer cope . Thats my opinion tho, I'm just a regular guy who loves watches so take it or leave it.

It's their new in-house day-date colum wheel chronograph movement called caliber 69385, and developped for the Pilot 41mm family. It beats at 28'800 VPH (4 Hz), has 230 parts (I think) and imho has quite a nice finishing, especially for the price range.

The best way to distinguish it from the previous Valjoux 7750 is the seconds subdial, which in the old 7750 is at 9 while in the new caliber is at 6. Hence, the red subdial's hand.

For the purposes of precision tooling, the differences matter, but for watch case coatings, it's all just marketing.

I think aesthetically it’s alright. And unquestionably Rolex makes the best cyclops. I don’t like them because they are smudge magnets and it makes your watch more difficult to wipe off.

nothing pisses me off more than low magnification cyclops that doesn't even fill the entirety of it with the date window. to this end seiko is also very good at cyclops. microbrands just cannot

IMO the logs should stay inside the width of your wrist and not go over but after that, its from wrist to wrist. some people like smaller watches.

>> No.17780592

>>17779440
Datejust isn't even that much more than explorer and doesn't hold its value as well or go up in value on the secondary market like explorer does. There are clearly more people that want explorers.
