Working my way through these at the moment. Three favourites so far:

You or someone like you
Minty fresh, citrus, floral with a pleasant musky undertone. I did temporarily get a cat piss vibe from this on the dry down but it got better. The opening is amazing and very realistically fresh mint. I’m not sure if this works as a fragrance though, smells more like a luxury handwash or shower gel.

Fat electrician
Creamy vanilla amber meets soapy Vetiver. Pretty nice. Very different from other vetiver fragrances I’ve had.

Ghost in the shell
I really like this one. It weirded me out at first but I’ve begun to love it. Very metallic and yet organic at the same time. Reminds me of those weird synthetic comme des garçons fragrances.

Milky floral metallic vibes but then a very clean and fresh lemon soapiness. Smells like a futuristic Japanese shower.

I'd add Ambre Cashmere Intense as well. It's a good take on concurrent perfumery. Other than that, great suggestions, although I'd change the order personally (BBI a bit further back, because it's good, but cloves have been done well by other fragrances, too).
I haven't decided which one I'll get next, but it's probably Amber Oud. It's just as complex as I like and the lavender pulls through beautifully, but takes it time to do so.

I won’t say money is no object, as I could afford either without breaking the bank, but it also shouldn’t be ignored that Zoo runs over 5$ a sample where as ELDO is a little over 2.

>why would you put a gym shirt back on
>list the reason for doing so literally in the same sentence

I'll add a bit of detail i guess
I put it back on sometimes depending on how bad my work shirt is when I'm done working
My job is very physical and the building i work in is 100 years old. The only AC in the building is in office areas, and I'm only in those areas for small windows of time, and when I am, I am being active and lifting and bending and moving things.
I only sweat in my gym shirt for like 45 minutes, whereas my work shirt is on me for 9 hours while I'm performing physical labor, almost like a gym visit part 2
I do hang my gym shirt on a hanger and have a box fan blow on it throughout the day so its dry very quickly. I dont leave work in a gym shirt that is in any way wet with sweat, but my work shirt always will be at least a little

Frens, I need advice since Im starting to lose my mind a bit. Ive tried almost everythinhg at sephora, living in france helps sometimes. Im trying to create a year round set of perfume to wear.
I thought about :
- Dior Homme Parfum for winter which I just bought a few days ago
- Platinium Egoiste for Spring / Autumn ?
- Dior Homme Sport for the Summer ?

I also want to buy Fahrenheit Parfum, JPG Le Male le parfum or even Eau des BAVX but it seems redondant with DHP ?

Ive already tried Le Male, le Male le parfum(extra nice) which are both very nice for a daily wear.
Last year I bought Fahrenheit EDT and Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee. Exceptional odor but both deceiving projection and longvety at least on my skin.
Also tried Bois Imperial, very nice but something is off after three or four hour. A pungent smell comes strong. Sad

Any ideas ? How do you guys organize your yearly and seasonnal rotation ? What about perfume for the same season ? I like to be well organized sometimes and not thinking about that

You did good. Prin is a talented, recognized and very well-regarded perfumer in the niche circles. He would be as popular as Areej Le Dore if he was to play all those silly limited editions and hype games as Russian Adam. Haxan is the most popular and extremely unique fragrance from Prin. That was the plan. If someone wanted to venture into the realm of niche "techno" fragrances, they wouldn't have to start at zero, could get a general idea from a designer house. something about it reminds me of Oud Malaki, maybe it's the oud accord combined with some leather. but it also has a prominent green apple top and quite a bit of vanilla.
so... something between Oud Malaki without the tobacco and a really classed-up Eros, as odd as that sounds? I like it, but wouldn't cop at the current price. maybe if it will filter down to discounters. as it stands, 100$ is a bit much for yet another designer oud scent, even if a very pleasant one.

Ok what about JPG le male le parfum for winter / autumn since it is less heavy than DHP and keep DHP for special occasion, night out or even cold days where i really want to be nice and seductive.

- Platinium Egoiste for spring like april to june during the day ? And keep JPG for the night ?

- Dior Homme Sport 2021 all summer long June to august/ septembre since it has a nice a incense base, it can be work on colder summer days.

its starting to get a bit too much thinking for just smelly water. I kinda miss the days where I had just one bottle for everything, didnt think much about it, got compliment and kept going with my day...

He was limiting sales on some other releases before this one apparently, but this one you could buy up to 5 of them.

Lmao retards In the thread getting defensive just because I said i smell iris In New York intense. It's a great fragrance but it's not the traditionally masculine scent you think it is.

I made this mistake of thinking this was actually about fragrances but it’s some battle of who can be the most pretentious peppered with passive aggressive insults and classism.

Also some dude who is obsessed iris. What notes are actually associated with wealth and more expensive fragrances? How can you tell the difference between the good stuff and cheap stuff that isn’t well formulated?

It's like wine, you've just got to get your nose on a lot of stuff. Keeping notes helps.

And relax brother, it's all part of the fun.

Some people just haven't reached that level yet.

I'm the guy that said that new York intense had iris.

Well, I sprayed directly from my bottle instead of the sample, and now I cannot detect the iris at all and it's way more citrusy , green and sparkly. So I'm assuming my sample is badly labeled or fucked up in some other way. I'll see how it develops but so far , one hour in almost, no iris.

They have some resemblance in the base tho, do Nicolai perfumes share some base ala tauer or Bianchi?

I checked and Nicolai has a new release that has iris, how likely it is that they labeled wrong an official sample?

If you weren't here from the start, you'll probably take at least a decade to get there
There are cheap drugstore perfumes that can smell great and vintages that can smell awful. Shunning any source, be it niche or masstige, is just trying too hard to fit in
