I want 70-80 hours of power reserve as a minimum as I am gone on the weekends a lot and already anything with that spec is quite expensive. Looks sexy but thinner and so much lighter than any automatic, you wouldn't believe it if you held it in your hand. Shiny metal bracelet watch but it's almost as light as a plastic Casio is.

Titanium is softer than steel and scratches badly but fuck it a titanium Tissot/Citizen is cheap and worth it.

There's also black PVD and some Super Titanium TM coating that supposedly should protect it

Polishing a Grand Seiko isn't a very good idea unless you know what you're doing, the watch will lose it's crisp edges and lose it's value and appeal. There is this guy in Poland i think who specializes in polishing GS cases but he has a waiting list, and the guys that are doing the lapping at GS, everyone else will surely just ruin the watch. Best leave it unpolished.
I think we've arrived at the point in time where vintage (Grand) Seikos are getting increasingly difficult to find in good condition, they're all gone.

Most people know what the Submariner looks like, but I bet you more people know the word Seamaster even if they won't recognize one.
