That's not slim. You have a protruding ass like most people, so it may appear slim in the behind (I can see there's still excess fabric there though). But the rest of it looks fairly roomy.
>>17759628
J Press, Kamakura, Spier & Mackay. Mercer & Sons if your budget is very high. LL Bean is acceptable if your budget is low and S&M doesn't have what you want - their collars actually look pretty solid, better than Ralph Lauren at least.

The irony of a "journalist" not being able to do research and find their own material is great and perfect for modern journalism. Here's some inspo: You're a faggot and should transition

>>17759654
>>17759628
>>17759634

If you want brand new, Land End and LL Bean are waaaaaay better than modern RL and most other designers for collar size. They're roomy as fuck, which is fine if you're down with classic cuts but don't go in expecting sexcore. I've had shit luck with Spier when it comes to QC. Had to return a shift because the shoulders were an inch larger than they should have been, two of my other shirts stared developing loose threads much faster than anything else I've worn. The fit was good though, I just can't recommend them because it's a gamble and I don't want shit to fall apart in a year when older shirts last decades.

Brooks Brothers is good on sale and if you avoid their alpha sized shirts but they're transitioning to more of those how because it's slop central. If you don't mind used they're a great value on eBay. I have BB shirts that were made in the US and Hong Kong that have held up beautifully.

I strongly recommend custom, Luxire and Proper Cloth will make whatever you ask them in a plethora of fabrics. So if you want a great collar roll in a good fabric cut to your expectations, go that route. Pricing is very fair IMHO, for between $80-150 you can create your perfect OCBD.

It absolutely is slim and I hate this trend more than anything. Every well known brand that offers "roomy" cuts has a pitiful 20 cm leg opening and nearly skin tight thighs on their double pleated trousers. And even when the likes of Casablanca try to sell ample trousers, the execution is so bad their trousers are a ridiculous, laughable baggy mess with no flow or drape. Same reasoning for most "high" rise trousers you can find on the RTW market.
The only dude that offers real roomy cuts is picrel, but at nearly $800 a piece, and bespoke.

A question for all posters in this thread: have you noticed more positive attention from girls since the "Old Money Aesthetic"/"Quiet Luxury" trends became a thing over the last few months? I don't want to discuss if their understanding of those terms is correct or not. It just seems to me that it's the time that most of the /TIP/ dressing people could only hope for years ago. Yes it does, you're just too fucking dumb to figure out how your LARP costume is supposed to fit. OCBDs are supposed to on the roomy side, they're work shirts.

Behold the strong traditional white man who can't even figure out how his clothes are supposed to fit and has to ask other strong white men on the internet to hold his hand.

its got matching pants
>prince of wales
I've never been a fan of prince of wales, much too busy, drowns out any other pattern
gun clubs nice, but not when it's high contrast
houndstooth (as long as its also not high contrast) I can definitely get behind.
I'm most fond of windowpane checks tho.
I find it pretty odd that my preferences where colors and patterns are concerned are loud and garish (which, yes, they sometimes are), but within the /tip/ world stuff like high contrast gun club checks and bright red, or insanely busy knit sweaters are an acceptable, even encouraged part of its 'canon'
i guess its easier to vouch for stuff like that when it has a cultural background attached to it. The stuff I like doesn't tend to have that privilege, since a lot of it is influenced by eras that came after the 'golden age of menswear' and were often outside the subcultures that shaped /tip/

Oh cool Doug good job, now I can post pic related in this thread too.

Remember Doug, you are a failure, and you know exactly why. It's not because you're ugly, that's actually somewhat fixable but you won't put in the effort to do it. It's not because you're a faggot,.it's not because you don't have friends and don't fit in. It's not because you have dog shit style, because that too is fixable.
It's because you aren't a man of your word, and you lack conviction. You have no spine, no self worth, no ability to look at yourself honestly. That's why you keep trying to dress trad because you project onto clothing and think it will make you a real man by dressing like real men did in the past, but in your case it is quite literally a larp. It's why you fuck up fit after fit not listening and buying the shittiest, cheapest shit possible over and over again because you don't have the strength and patience to force yourself to do it right. It's why you're gay and conservative, something that is very contradictory at best. You are hoping that by claiming to be conservative and paying lip service to their talking points you'll become a more traditional man through osmosis somehow.
Doug you are a liar, you are worthless as a man, you have poor taste and none of these things are fixable until you make peace with yourself and leave. Look at pic related, it perfectly encapsulates your worth as a person and why you fail at this style. For you it's quite literally the same level of LARP as dressing like an anime character.

I'm the guy who enjoys posting the middle aged sodomite's pics because it's free seethe when you people are forced to confront how you actually dress. None of you have a reason or need to dress this way, it's an anachronistic style motivated by delusion. You put these clothes on to remind yourselves of when whites were relevant, literally the only reason.

Here's what how to make the style modern, relevant and tasteful: Diversity. Black men look so much better in just about everything, it's not even a fair competition but you fuckers didn't play fair for centuries so I'm fine with it.

You should be seduced by a rope Doug. You can't help yourself, you love the abuse. If you just wanted opinions you'd share the image and your thoughts but you can't help yourself, you had to "coyly" reference the fact you are LE WACKY so everyone knows it's you. jesus christ man, chill out already
i got your point ages ago, can you let it go?
can you please stop making a scene in this general whenever i poke my head around a corner?
You know, with your last post, I thought maybe behind all the hate was really just frustration at seeing someone stake their self-respect in trying to win some imaginary war on 4chan or just wanting negative attention, and wanting me to do better.
Maybe you saw a younger version of yourself in me, one you wish you could grab by the shoulders and tell them to get a grip.
And you know what? That "wheres your self-respect" line? I took it to heart, That morning I decided to do something about the way I spend my time and the momentum I had in life and volunteer at a charity shop down the road, because I realized I needed a reason to get out of bed on weekdays and to put something on my resume. I really thought that your "tough love" came at the right time and was a wake up call to put me on a recent

But no actually I realize it now, you really just are out of your goddamned mind.
You talk at length about how i must "love the abuse" but as far as I can tell you are the only person here dishing it out, you just say that as a post-hoc excuse for why you can't help YOURSELF from typing PARAGRAPH after PARAGRAPH of snarling and might I say unbecoming hatred.

You jumped on my post the moment you saw it, before anyone else could say their peace.
You are actually obsessed. Mentally ill.
It's a fucking 4chan thread man, I feel like you are taking this way too seriously and at any rate more serious than me.

I meant to say put myself onto a more dignified path.

ALSO, for all your talk of how I am a weak, delusional man who isn't fit for the "conservative" clothing I wear, just who the hell does that make you? What kind of "gentleman" tells people to kill themselves or lets themselves get so flusteringly mad where other supposed sophisticates would see them?
Wheres your outfit? Wheres your sense of decorum? Restraint?
Where is YOUR self respect?
I do not dress like this because I wanna become a manly 1950s chad with le values, I dress like this because I just like tailored clothing, and my inspiration half comes from musicians, hipsters, and literal cartoon characters. I thought you would have figured as much.

But given the dynamic we apparently have here I'd be willing to say that, by a square mile, if this WAS the kind of classy midcentury fantasy-land we are admittedly by some amount LARPing in, I'd at least be the one trying to make headway at some white collar job and trying to prove himself.
All the while, you wouldn't even be some rakish sophisticate, you'd be a rumpled, cheap-suited scumfuck hooting at the first blurry mass resembling a woman you can see through your drunken haze. Or better yet, in some pale white insane asylum doped up on anti-psychotics.

You are a belligerent, classless, unstable, emotionally incontinent wretch and you do not deserve an inch of my respect.

A black suit is barely worth having, silver shoes even less so.
but if i somehow wound up with silver shoes, id wear a silver tie to match, with maybe a pinstripe suit, or something in some color like dark blue, dark red, dark green, white, or a similar shade of grey.
But holy shit kid, those shoes have got to be one of the most ill-considered purchases ive ever seen on this board.
Sure, keep both of thise items in some corner of your wardrobe, you'll never know when you need a black suit, and MAYBE you'll reach a level of mastery someday that you finally have the perfect outfit for them go with, but in the meantime, never wear this shit again.
Get a navy or charcoal suit and some dark brown dress shoes, get them in the RIGHT size, and have them properly tailored. Thats at any rate a better starting point.

Less autistic dark academia is good honestly. You just don’t have to opt for only dark earthy colors, doc martens, shit like that. But normal colors, girly shoes, not tranny combat boots. There was a girl at my university who dressed like that and I was effectively in love with the way she dressed and carried herself. I barely knew her but I still remember her just because of how much better she presented herself than the other girls. The other rich girls were LARPing as street rats and hookers and Kim Kardashian while she looked like she could’ve filled a Brooks Brothers catalog.

I did talk to her a few times, but if I’m being honest I think she just wasn’t interested. I had a lot of problems when I was young and was a stereotypical flunking drunk adderall addict and she wasn’t having any of it. I started dating a long term girlfriend later on anyway.

no, nobody's ever played, say, tennis, in white leather sneakers, and they certainly haven't been doing it since the 1970s or something. It's definitely only a trend, however if they are the same color and design but made out of canvas it's not a trend

It's ironic that the extremes of sprezzatura end up looking tryhard, when the whole idea of the style is to appear effortless.
Like, if you see a guy with his OCBD collar buttons undone, you know thats a little affectation he thinks is cool, he didnt just forget to button them after putting on his tie. It just looks douchey.

You know what time it is! He hadn't posted in a few days, was beginning to worry I wouldn't have any new material but thank God his need to post retarded fits compelled him.
Doug you should go post on Reddit too, they'd absolutely adore you over there. Your pathological need to be observed would be much better fulfilled, and they might actually cosign your bullshit. Baldie gets plenty of updoots, I'm sure they're all from the harem of underage kids he sodomized but that's besides the point. There's plenty of circle jerking to be had where everyone fawns over everyone else's mid fits, you'd probably be praised as an avant garde visionary genius!
