So why the fuck are you looking at JLC dress watches? I mean they are understated and under the radar type watches, sounds like you need a larger piece for your wrist.

>10k
Explorer II white dial probably. I guess if you are hell bent on a dressy watch, you have some other options, but I don't see the point in large dress watches, they should be 39mm, the end. Have you considered a Navitimer? They're large but attractive, not gaudy hunks of metal.

But the Explorer II is trading at 1:1 to retail on the grey market, new or like new. I mean maybe 1k over if that. It's a watch that you can really buy grey, if you want it. It's not like a Pepsi that is double price.

>Superocean
Well that's very far off from 10k so you really have to make up your mind. Do you want something around 5k or around 10k? There are several Navitimers that are good, it depends how much money you want to spend and what matters to you. Here is one around 8k.

I want to buy a Moonwatch for a friend of mine (he said it's a watch he's always wanted) but I don't understand the difference in these models

Okay first of all that page lists discontinued models which is why some are 5k some are 7k. The currently available brand new in the shop Moonwatch is the 7k one. If you need to buy new, this is the only option you have unless you want to pay top dollar on the grey market for the older model brand new. I am gonna assume you need to buy new so I will give you the reference to buy so you can't fuck it up.

How good and tight it fits will be checked by Omega before it's sold, while you have no idea how it will fit to your case if you buy it later. so brands are sabotaging their offering by making disproportionately large watches because they believe that's what people want then in turn people avoid dressier options because they look absolutely comical and in turn brands see that dress watches don't sell for shit so they mostly make sports watches instead which sell because they still look ok on the larger sizes

Formal watches are simple and unassuming. They admit they’re jewellery which makes them less pretentious (paradoxically) than sport watches which try to hide behind some kind of function or intention. A dress watch could be an affectation you forgot to take off after work, could have been given to your father or grandfather or whatever else, it doesn’t make you a ‘watch guy’.
