Techwear and adjacent styles general. Gorpcore and cyberpunk cosplay also welcome but please keep the #techwear shit out.

Core brands:
Acronym
Stone Island / Stone Island Shadow Project
Nemen
Mykita
Bagjack
C.P. Company
Arc’teryx Veilance
Suicoke
Salomon / Salomon Advanced
Boris Bidjan Saberi

This is a Mk.1 and there hasn’t been a /tg/ in a while but hopefully anons can get some good discussions going!

I actually quite like it - like two P10As sewn together into a jacket. I also usually hate the “wine” (Schwartzrot) color but it looks better here for than it did on the J1W-GTPL. And much better than the same color for P41-DS. However, I already have a black J1A-GTPL so there’s no real need for me to invest in another light rain shell of the same material…and the pricing on it is ridiculous. No wonder it got scalped and the remainder are just sitting

not all is. a lot is still made in eu or jp. though ironically the worst qc they ever had was the sacai collab which was MIJ. iPhones/Macs are MIC and still have superior bios quality to windows devices MIC…errolson doesnt outsource to the lowest bidder. all my MIC acronym is just fine, and I can think of a time where I had poor quality EU-made pieces (j63a with zipper sewn backwards/inside out)

rule of thumb: if it is a piece abalone at a retailer it is MIC. (and much cheaper in cost.) if it ends in -PR however it will b made in Portugal and brake pieces (shirts) will be retailer pieces and the exception to the rule

mothersite exclusives will be made in EU, jp, etc.

>>17720796
This might sound crazy, but a word can be used for more than one meaning or context. People used grayman and eventually in our gay little niche that started to mean basically 'minimalist techwear'. Think pants that look normal or even designer but have extra functionality. What should have been the polar opposite of techninja shit eventually got associated with veilance (like techwear made brutalist) with very pronounced minimalist designs. So for the original term grayman it doesn't really fit the bill, but like all terms things change and get misused all the time like the word "Literally".

is there any performance data for techwear that works for hot summers?
I see uniqlo airism stuff recommended but it just seems to be a thin breathable shirt.
I have tried Columbia's cooling shirts before they came out with 3 different versions of it and waiting to see if they go for liquid nitrogen bukkake™. they seem to only work on the concept of better evaporative cooling though.
the Duluth jade shirts actually feel like the cool side of a pillow when it isn't constantly touching your skin but I can't really say if they keep you cooler though.

any other suggestions that I have missed?

Arc veilance makes some good ones. If you're going for more milspec stuff I'm sure they have tshirt variants in arc leaf available if you have LEO creds. I've never been a fan of the airism stuff but to each their own

Saw the white 3A-1 get teased. Glad that not only are they bringing white bags back (and jackets it seems) but particularly the actually good bags. I just hope that when the white 3A-1 drops likely alongside a 3TS, 13TS, and 2 that there will also be white mods like a 3A-MP1 and MK pockets

these gshock models are one of my favorites,
check out the GW-B5600BC-1BER for example.
It's one of the few that comes with a better strap - i own it and it feels surprisingly "premium". The rubber straps are also prone to ripping after some time

Lets ever increasingly think about the aesthetics perfect merge of biopunk and cyberpunk and SOULpunk and autismitepunk.

Ever increasingly spread utmost utopian awarenesses. Love is the only force of infection. What empowers our goals most is to make our goals so lovely that the goals naturally attains its own absolute divinity.

in case of water resistance it's not goretex pro but it will hold up for a bit. The inside layer gives it a more comfy feeling and a bit extra warmth. It doesn't compare to DS, S or E in any way and is 100% it's own thing. I like the fabric and it feels durable No one has figured out what the fabric is but it seems like it might be Pyrad which is supposed to be fireproof goretex for military applications

My 3a from 2018 fucking stinks when it gets wet like vinyl or something. And it still got damp inside. I use my Nomin more but the glued zippers are starting to peel. I wish some of these brands would actually be performance like they promise.
