I'm sure the anons who own them will chime in, but it's actually a very neat watch in person.
The classic Reverso looks flat and rectangular head on, but from an angle you notice the sides are round and it gives it a kind of barrel profile. Then the guilloche and brushing on the dial reflects light in ways that make it look more than just flat white.

Go see it in person. It's one of those watches you really have to see and try to fully appreciate. The Reverso is all about style and proportions.
The Classic doesn't work as a formal dress watch imo. It's very plain on a black leather strap. Put it on a textured strap and wear it in a casual outfit, and it's absolutely stellar.
The Tribute looks more striking because of the shiny indices and sunray dial. I think it looks best in rose gold. I'd get this as a dress watch over any ALS, Patek or Vacheron (love the American 1921 though).

If you get a Classic, make sure to buy one produced after 2016 (curved lugs and finer guilloche on the dial).

Citizen AW0050-15a is the closest i think but you'll need a new strap. BM8560-88XE is better imo but also needs a strap, Railroad Approved (BM8180-54A) but hard to find. AW1365-19P is kind of cream, BM8470-03AE but it's ugly. BM8180-03E is very cool with small seconds but will be hard to find. you should probably just go for battery quartz and buy a $5 watch repair kit to do battery changes yourself, it will open up a lot of options e.g. the Lorus RXD425L8

Pros:
Good because they show the entire day. If you're prone to keeping irregular hours, or if you keep track other TZ's, then you might find it helpful. Laying out what you need to do, when, is easier for the whole day.
A 24hr watch with a 24hr bezel makes tracking a 2nd TZ with ease.

Cons:
However, psychologically, you might find yourself feeling more rushed than with with a 12hr. Because the whole day's hours are visually mapped out it induces this effect that there's less time available (imagine the dial as a pie chart, work hours seems smaller) as with a 12hr you know the hour hand has to do 2 revs before the day is through. Hard to explain.
Contrariwise timing airflights makes it feel like time isn't going as slowly.
This is all ultra subjective, Bergsonian personal time stuff though.

An objective con is that the relatively cramped dial makes it slightly more difficult to tell the time at a glance compared with a 12hr, hence the importance to avoid 24hr dials with unnecessary clutter or dials that use colour combos that hamper legibility. This of where the military white on black scheme becomes especially pertinent IMO.

I like them. Not many available in general, lots of inexpensive Vostoks though.
Now that Patek's releasing a 24hr watch maybe there'll be more copycats in the upper ranges.

Digital displays exacerbate this effect because the minutes and seconds also aren't visualised as a piechart but as in abstract numeral. With an analog you can see
>oh I've got until this hand gets to there until X
and there's a lot of visual approximation involved in telling the time when you take a quick glance.
With a digital watch it tells you exactly at that precise second the exact time with a mere glance.
Makes you feel way more rushed.
Turn it to 24hr mode and that heightens the effect.
I tend to avoid digital displays these days as I no longer need that hurrying along effect I needed as a student.

This term can mean anything you like. For some people, like >>17727742, a grail is a one-of-a-kind, most likely unobtainable at any price. (It's more like the Holy Grail, where the process of searching is the whole point.)
For others, it's just a really expensive watch they like, that they would buy if they had more money.

Personally, I lean towards the rare, hard-to-find end. To me, a watch simply being expensive makes it less a grail and more just the next item on a shopping list.

Ten years later it was sold to Timex.
Seven years after that, it was sold to Ebauches S.A. Their Durowe division kept making movements, and Laco watches was discontinued.

most people willing to pay what it costs to get good shit from china would rather just buy from a brand that isn't a laughing stock (which is also made in china, but isn't a microbrand)

either that or they'll go for a "replica" aka a high quality fake of a prestige watch

They're hardly alone in this however.
I think it mainly comes from the "rolex cope" phenomenon: many people who otherwise wanted a rolex but couldn't obtain one "settled" for an omega. There are of course those that simply prefer a specific omega for whatever reason eg.moonwatch, bondwatches etc.

What is this nonsense? Omega actually has some interesting designs unlike Rolex where a lightning bolt on the Milgauss was the wackiest thing they ever done. Their watches are devoid of any soul. The only reason to get a Rolex is to have a status symbol that non-watch nerds recognize. As a way to show yourself that you "made it".

One of the pros of the true co-axial means that the escapement doesn't require the same lubrication that the swiss lever needs.
Omega's mass produced iteration of the co-ax still requires lubrication. It might not need it for the reason a swiss lever does, but the fact that it still requires it at all means that ultimately it offers no real benefit over what else is available in the market. Daniels' original designs don't need this lube and they've continued to work for decades without the typical maintenance service a swiss lever requires, and Omega's co-axial needs; the whole reason Daniels created it in the first place was to negate the need for this frequent service.
Additionally in order to make the co-axial work omega had to lower the frequency of the movement. The standard beat for a swiss watch has been, for decades, 28.8k. Any degrade from this is seen as such: a downgrade. Other modern movements haven't needed to lower the frequency to achieve comparable results to Omega's calibres. When omega tried their co-ax at 28.8k they had too many problems and were *forced* to lower the frequency.
Such an action doesn't look good for a luxury good irrespective of the technical realities of the situation. Who's really going to notice, right?
Imagine however buying a luxury car only to find that the maker had to downgrade the performance of the engine in some fashion when their competitors haven't needed to compromise at all nd get the same results.

TL;DR Omega's co-axial is nothing but a gimmick. And that's a shame.
