hi I'm Tim welcome to our Channel and
thanks for logging on today we're
discussing the Panerai Radiomir three
days PM 685 a 2017 special series of
1,000 pieces you can see and you can
purchase the stainless steel Radiomir
on our website subscribe to our
YouTube channel if you enjoy these
videos and please click on the card in
the upper right hand corner of the
screen at any time during this video to
see our full sales listing for this
watch with additional accessories
included in the sale high-resolution
images for your desktop and naturally
complete pricing details for this PM 685
now this watch is a handsome evocative
and unconventional take on the modern
wire look Radiomir designed to emulate
late 1930s reference 3/6 4/6 prototypes
hence the appearance of the 12 sided
breathittotto or patent bezel now the
watch is very different from your
standard modern wire luck Radiomir
we may as well talk about the dimensions
and then describe how it deviates but
you can already see a little bit on the
dial side 57 millimeters across the
round of the case the watch is thick but
not excessively so just under 21
millimeters twenty point nine
millimeters thick I would actually say
that because of the step of the case
flank between the bezel and the
rounded edge you could probably wear
this underneath a dress cuff from lug
to lug it's it's fairly wearable the
watch is 57 millimeters square
effectively but if you were to measure
to the outer edge of the wire style lugs
you would get 63 millimeters I believe
that it wears far more compact than that
number suggests so you really need to
try it in my estimation this watch could
be worn with a handsome proportion and
security on a wrist as small as 12
centimeters in circumference the wire
lugs are that spare

on the one hand I like the more subtle look of the gold one, but on the other hand, I don't wear any jewelry, so gold will look really out of place on me, not to mention that I'm pale as fuck and that gold is usually better suited for more darker skin tones

>Thoughts on the Tudor Royal 41?
It's a "nearly" watch. As in, if they just changed a couple things, it would be great, but as it is, it's got too much wrong with it.

Looks wise, it's decent. Apparently Rolex is giving the engine-turned bezel to Tudor, now that Rolex doesn't do them anymore.
I wish there was a non-Roman option. A simple stick dial with a little lume would be nice. The case is cool but reminds me a lot of the current Omega Constellation.
I like that the dial is really clean, though. No extraneous text.

The movement is a let-down. It's still a warmed-over Sellita. Until Tudor makes an in-house movement for it, I'm not interested. 38hr of power reserve just isn't enough these days.

Newfag filter.

The Speedie isn't bought despite the things you mentioned. It's bought because of them. The Speedie is literally a 1970s watch manufactured today. It's got an inaccurate 3Hz movement, the fit is poor even by cheaper watch standards, the bracelet is relatively uncomfortable and doesn't even allow half links.

That's the reason it's bought. You're sold a piece of vintage watch history made today to the same standards of back then.

This is also why the new Speedie with the co Axial movement is going cheaper than the previous ones... Omega has destroyed its charm by trying to modernize it.

The entire jerkoff around the swiss mechanical watches is all about MUH HERITAGE, MUH HISTORY, MUH TRADITION AND SHIT

Every mechanical watch it a fat, heavy incaccurate piece of shit compared to this. If you try and start thinking logically you get mogged by a 10$ quartz casio

300$ quartz Bulova (owned by citizen)

The interest in the mechanical watchmaking can only be explained through the appreciation for the tradition in the first place and Speedmaster Professional delivers you a 1to1 identical replica of the same watch that went to the moon, looks the same and runs the same. It even looks fucking good because they preserved a desing from back when the things used to look good.

Look man, you're the one claiming the Daytona is just a random chronograph with average specs and people wouldn't care about it if it weren't a Rolex.
The thing is, the Daytona is the best in its category BECAUSE it's a Rolex. It's the thinnest, the most accurate, it has more WR than 90% of other chronographs... Where did I do that? I said you're paying 3 to 10 times what it's worth because it's Rolex and no other reason. There are plenty of equally good (spec wise) Chronographs and I proved it several times now.

Frankly, outside of this retarded thread, no serious watch person has ever claimed that the Daytona is the best chronograph. It really isn't. The Lemania used in the Speedy is a movement that was worthy of being in a Patek. The Zenith has the high beat movement in case you didn't know. Higher than Rolex. The Heuer has a column wheel chronograph at 4Hz same as the Daytona.

They couldn't press the buttons with the space gloves on even if they wanted to.

The chronograph features weren't used in any meaningful fashion. NASA got it for them because they thought it might come handy but it never did. They weren't timing the burn with it and they certainly weren't measuring their speed with a tachymeter.

The real pilot and navigator watches in history had huge luminous markings to see it in the dark, sometimes a tachymeter but non of the subdual bullshit.

They should just bring back the date-day. Integrated bracelet is cringe. Also the fact that they make this piece of shit in 4 sizes and the only one that has day and date is the biggest ugliest one is just fucking retarded. Why not just make a 36 and/or 38 both with daydate and be done with it?

Non-watchfag here. Thinking of getting another watch but not sure. I currently use one of these, but I don't really like the segmented metal band, as it's band adjustments are really limited and it pinches. I don't really want to replace the band on this as it's design is integrated into the chassis of the watch. I'm not a huge fan of leather bands as they look too hipster-y for me. I like the mesh metal bands but I've never seen a nice looking watch with one. Anyone else had this problem? Any recommendations?

You can put a mesh bracelet on any watch with standard lugs. Just look for a watch with standard lugs and slap a mesh bracelet on it from amazon. And from now on don't buy watches with non-standard lugs. Also spoiler: mesh is less uncomfortable than steel but only rubbber and leather provide true comfort.

>Do you even own a Daytona? Have you ever held a Navitimer in your obese weeaboo child molester hands?

This is the crux of why this general is the way it is. There’s like 5 guys here that own watches of any significance and such an extreme preponderance of autism that most here aren’t capable of going to an AD and trying a watch on. So you have a bunch of neurodivergent misfortunes comparing stats like watches are Pokémon cards (or whatever it is you compare stats on)

This is like a sex ed class run by a priest- the self appointed authorities have no useful knowledge of the subject matter besides what they picked up through their sticky and repellant habits

but a watch for a sailor should at least be able to keep working in case he goes overboard. They don't need 30atm diving watches, but when you're surrounded by water, your watch should be able withstand swimming with it
