up to 300$, can be cheaper if it's great value

classy sports watch. think the Oyster Perpetual (not necessarily an homage to that model though)
> Movement, e.g. automatic, hand wound, quartz
I prefer mechanical but quartz isn't a deal breaker either

bracelet

small wrist, though I haven't measured it. something in the 36-40mm range should be fine

AS I WAS SAYING! the module on the GW-M5610 and GW5000 doesn't have a dst table so it has to rely on the radio signal to update the to dst unlike the module of the GW-B5600 or the GMW-B5000, but the downside is that these models don't display the battery level. Displaying the battery level is useful but it's done with dashes that are indistinguishable with the reference on the glass display. Same for the alarm, these dashes are used simply because they are cheap and can be found on basic digital watches.
>but anon I want to go home and suck your dick...

Aside from the movement, though, the 14270 is superior.
The new case is actually 35mm, has shorter lugs, and a 19mm bracelet. It wears much smaller than the old 36mm version. It looks dainty. If you put it next to a 36mm DJ, you can see it's visibly smaller.

I appreciate the suggestions but what I mean is specifically this matte, high contrast retro tool watch dial. I know it's pretty specific but I can remember there being so many microbrands making racing inspried watches it became a meme so I'm wondering if there are any models from microbrands I don't know that fit this very specific criteria. I just really dig this look.

If you drop the black case SNK809 or SNK375 might be what you want.
Or drop a red hand and get a black on black one.

If you're crazy about it there's a seiko 5 modding community and you can get picrelated and swap a red hand into it.

Congratulations anon, thats just beautiful. By you being a likeable lad you developed a mutual respect between you and your superior. Going to work and working itself is so much more pleasant when you respect and are respected by the man in charge. I remember one time worked a wagie labour job and had a female boss, it was the easiest time and the best time i had working a dogshit job, she did her part well and always respectfully made sure we got shit done but also had our backs the entire time. Man that woman had balls, i am telling you dont feel guilty at all, that mutual understanding connection is also one entire way of gouging whether a man is fit or has thr potential to be the right man for the job or not. That Ceo would not have chosen you had it not been for the things he actually saw in you that he was looking for to beginn with, its just that checked for them in a manner you are not used to thats all. Id bet money on the fact that you were hired based off of competence not nepotism

The smaller numbers on the old one look better, but the lumen on the new one is worth it. I prefer the 20mm bracelet because it's more versatile, but the lower lugs look more proportionate on the new one. The diameter of the case is the same, here the other Anon is wrong. I prefer the vintage style of the old one, but with a similar price I prefer get the new one.

>> No.17716536

If the price were the same...I'd probably get the new one, since I like the modern movement (actually, just the modern 70hr power reserve.)
But on c24 a 114270 goes for around 5.5k USD, while the 124270 starts at 8k USD on c24 but its MSRP is 6.5k USD.

To me, that 70hr power reserve is not really worth a thousand dollars (and definitely not 2.5k USD). It's a no-date watch, it takes no time at all to set.
I used to have a 14270 (Luminova, not tritium) and I thought the lume was fine, very easy to read in the dark, despite not having lumed numerals.

To me, the old one simply looks more masculine. (Yes, I know it's splitting hairs) Fortunately, they made a million of them, so finding one is not difficult. Definitely, I'm still glad that Rolex went back to the 36mm size.

I really don't have a dog in this fight, though, since I sold my Explorer I have had zero desire for another one. (The Turn-o-graph that I sold, on the other hand, I'm still kicking myself for that.) The Explorer is a great watch for people who don't (or don't want to) think a lot about watches.
