Just got my imaginary authors sample set. tried cape heartache and falling into the sea first

began with
>cape heartache
most excited to try but kind of disappointing. it opens with a VERY strong strawberry scent. very feminine opening - it was not a masculine strawberry
now it started to rest and all i smell is woody notes
7/10, expected more

>falling into the sea
it lists a citrus note as the main note. it opened up and it is the first ever citrus scent where the word of air freshener or toilet cleaner came up into my mind. for some reason it smells aquatic, fresh. safe to blindbuy. performance seems to be mediocre at best.

So I just got done with City On Fire for the evening and it's the best one I've tried so far, they nailed the burnt match smell. If Encre Noire makes me feel like I'm camping in the Everglades, then this makes me feel like I just put out a campfire while in the Everglades, it's very fun and quite masculine feeling. My gf also liked it, but she said it had a vaguely medicinal quality to her, so if you're looking for compliments ymmv. Overall though it's a strong recommendation, the other anon shilling it did not lead me astray.

A close second, though I've only done a quick test and not a full day, is The Soft Lawn. If you like those grassy natural smells but want something that still feels fun and light I'd recommend trying it out at least. I'll prolly give it the full day tomorrow. Performance for both frags mentioned is also fantastic, so no worries there.

I think I got a fake, but I can't be sure. Anyone have the DHO bottle? Can you check something for me, please?

1) What's the font of "Perfums Christian Dior" on the bottom
2) What's the weight of the bottle? Mine was exactly 250g for a 50ml
3) Does the cap has 2 smooth edges and 2 sharp ones? This feels like and obvious mistake
4) Is DIOR HOMME centered on the collar?
5) Does the CD on the atomizer button match the CD on the top of the cap?
6) Is there any symbol inside the cap? Not on the top, but on the inside where the atomizer would be.
7) Are the bottom edges of the cap sharp or smooth?

I think I got got. My Dior Homme Intense 2020 bottle feels luxurious and heavy, and the DHO bottle feels light. Please help me out, or just call me a faggot w/e.

If it's this bottle then yea it's dogshit. It lasts about 15 minutes. It's just a weak woody smell and absolutely nothing interesting. That's another reason why I think it's a fake. There's armies of people cumming over how good this juice is supposed to be, and it seems like a boring embarrassment.

Where did you buy it?
I don't have a bottle to compare, but if it's a shady website, then that is kind of a dead giveaway.
Also the longevity is very suspicious.
If you live with someone, ask if you can spray on them, to test longevity, you're less likely to go nose blind.

the greatest market on earth - Ebay; from a place with thousands of sales and a perfect rating.
To test longevity I sprayed DiorHommeIntense (new) on one arm and this shit on the other. This stuff has gone out twice in the last couple of hours while the DHI is still going strong.

DHO is definitely weaker than DHI, but it should be a similar powdery iris scent, not just woody

There is a low probability you would like more than 1 even if I named 5, fragrances are just that subjective
I have probably tried like 50+ samples and wear 2-3 fragrances out of them regularly

1, check picrel.
2, no clue becuase mine is half empty and a 100 mL
3, all edges on the cap are the same
4, Homme is centered in both directions, Dior is offset to the left of it (obviously)
5, no
6, also no. interestingly enough, DHI has the bee there, DHP has nothing there, Eau Sauvage Parfum has the CD logo, Sauvage Elixir has the bee.
7, all edges sharp

were all of them from the 80s, you’d have just discovered 80s powerhouses a week ago instead of 3 weeks ago. an extra 2 weeks is plenty time to branch out to adjacent masculines.

>7) Are the bottom edges of the cap sharp or smooth?
No
Sharp. All others "smooth".

Nothing like pinesol, it's more vegetal than that. It also has a kind of sweaty cuminy thing which is (unlike how I've described it) very nice.

People describe it like celery soup on fire, which kind of gets to it, it has a earthy vegetal thing going on and the pine can give it some smokiness.
