Pleats on pants along with full fitting dress shirts are definitely coming back in a year or two. I'm 6'1 170 and no skinny/slim pants look as good on me as pleats.

High waisted, absolutely.
Pleated, not my preference.
Makes the silhouette too feminine, since my hips are already larger than my waist.

This thread is full of morons, please don't wear this pants, I don't want to hear more retard questions about menswear. Fuck off, we're full.

>>17709753

Those aren't suspenders buttons, those buttons are just an extended closure for the trousers

>>17710013
No nigga ughhhh yeahhhh uhhhhhh woo those aren't ghurkas. Google ghurka pants, there are two pull tabs for ghurkas that act as belts on each side.
The side buckles on this pair are similar in function but different, they aren't ghurkas.

>>17710014
>I have never liked stuffy clothing
Major key alert: if your clothing is stuffy, you're wearing the wrong size and/or fabric for the season. In short, user error.
Higher rise pants are often more comfortable than lower rise and normally give more room in the crotch. They're more comfortable than low rise and cover your ass.

>>17710057
>Shit that's been back for years will come back in a year or two
2017 called, you're fucking late. There's more to fashion than wanking off to the latest Uniqlo line up.

>>17710081
Then you need high rise pants the most. The higher rise works better to hide a gut, and most high rise pants are pleated so you get the bonus there too

1: Lose weight faggot
2: Buy fuller cut shirt, wear full cut higher waisted pants and blouse your shirt slightly if you need to. Basically tuck and then pull an inch back up.

It won't hide it 100% but if you balance the proportions it will be pretty close.

deepening on where it sits, the silhouette flares out the thigh area and the body looks like a cinched hourglass shape kinda like a Norse rune if that makes. just looks weird and dumpy by itself but under a open shirt or jacket if looks great which is the intent of most menswear clothing.

I go to uni and pants like those are very versatile, go with anything and they are comfy. I cannot understate how cozy they are. Paired with a sweater in winter that's about as good as you can feel without sinning. I wear darker ones though. I don't even particularly like the style. I have bigger legs and pleats in the thighs give me room in the area so many other pants restrict. I'd go back to jeans but they never fit right for me

>pleated
pleated trousers are more for comfort than they are for style, honestly. cue classic menswear autists fighting over 1 vs 2 pleats and forward vs reverse pleats. the main difficulty with them is that most people don’t know how to wear them without coming off as affected. same issue with double breasted sport coats and french cuffs.
>high waist
i do, they’re just mostly chinos.
>dress pants
i’m a neurotic when it comes to fit and fabric and i haven’t decided if i want to aim for perfection with a bespoke commission, lower my expectations a little with mtm, or just get relatively decent RTW MTO.

pleats have never been the default, they have always coexisted with flat fronts, and again, they’re really not about style as much as they are about comfort. also i wouldn’t count on anything in relatively good taste being in style again anytime soon when wall street bankers are currently wearing patagonia vests with chinos and hypebeast sneakers.
