Niggers, Jews and poors are gatekept out of the course. You’re encouraged to drink alcohol and smoke cigars while you play. Smashing around in a golf cart is fun. Boomers are aging out so you see less and less of them. I’ve been golfing since I was a kid and it’s a good time with frens

Chr.Ward isn't even a watchmaker; just a random bong importer of cheap tshirts from bangladesh with two schlub bong friends who had even dumber names than him so they had to name their spontaneous and ill conceived operation after him. He's not even part of the company anymore he left lmao.

Modern makers like Parmigianini, Journe, Grönefeld, Habring, Smith etc., are all at least named after an actual watchmaker.
"Christopher Ward" has no meaning. They might as well have chosen a random word like Rolex, Omega, Timex, Accurist etc., did rather than name their shit after some nobody. A random guy's name is offputting.

They join the shit-hallowed ranks of Maurice Lacroix, Daniel Wellington and Frederique Constant; no horological significance, just names chosen purely to ape brands old and new who are named after guys that actually made watches rather than people who imported cobbled together shit from chinawitzerland and marketed it as
>affordable luxury!
in malls or in direct to consumer catalogs. Made to fool mouthbreathing mallboomers out of their money.
Maurice Lacroix is rumored to be named after the ceo's old janitor at his previous office lol. Why the fuck would anyone want to spend 2grand on a watch named after a fucking shit scraping janny?

Just choose an abstract name ffs. Giving it a full or double-barreled person's name with no meaning behind it in an attempt to cheaply emulate and evoke the clout of PP, VC, AP, JLC makes it sound dumb and is just as bad as ripping off some ancient dead brand name. At least the latter have some basis behind their name choice though.
There's probably better names on aliexpress shitters.

Christopher Ward knew they fucked up when the eponymous co-founder left and they had to rename it "Chr.Ward", like that's any better.
They're too invested in the dumb so it's just the catfood brand logo for now.
Let that be a lesson: names are important, fuck up with the name and you taint the whole brand forever.

Now that the dust has well and truly settled, how is this viewed? I remember everyone universally shitting on it when they released it and then covid happened and I never followed up.
Has there been an about-face for this line or has it just been forgotten, intentionally wiped from the collective memory?
Why do companies use that awkward placement for the date window? Breguet did the same thing with the latest Type XX. It's fucking retardedly fugly.

You're fucking trolling right? That's the biggest waste of money imaginable because it depreciates on a yearly guaranteed basis. It's literally better to buy an expensive car, it depreciates less and never loses all its value (hardware does).

That guy might be an idiot for believing a 10k Rolex is special. To someone like me with a lot of income, I can buy that without blinking (but not on a yearly basis because it'd be blowing money out the door). I don't have to, save up, or any shit like that. Money just comes in.

But he's totally right about the watch retaining a lot if not all its value, and having the possibility to increase. The only reason idiots laugh at expensive watches is they don't understand the market. Watches are tangible assets now, like it or not.

To allow the 3 o'clock marker to be on the dial. And sometimes because there's a sub register at that position.

Yes it's fucking shit and I'd rather they leave the date out, whether it's a chronograph or not. No date watches are desirable. Only pilots watches truly must have a date. Divers can optionally have one. Chronographs (when made for motor racing or space travel) shouldn't.

I was challenging the idea that "heritage" is worth a 10x price increase when the people who made it are long dead and nowadays it's really just a marketing gimmick for Richemont's advertising department.
I have a lot more respect for a watch made by a watchmaker without much prestige but who's actually alive than a watch with a cute history from half a century ago that's since been produced in the millions by an army of factory drones.
On the other hand I see no issue with someone like you who just buys stuff because he wants something nice and expensive. Don't imply your rolex has more soul than some random christopher ward though.

I can understand these purchases if you're making 200k a year and it's pocket change, it's still sad that you're getting fleeced by kikes, but at that point it's like wasting money on shitty chain coffee. Tell that to people who bought Google in the late 90s you fucking moron. Are you employed, do you hold a degree? Because this is the kind of talk I would expect from someone who hasn't even gone to college yet or maybe is just finishing his undergrad.

Each of the four participants is individually hand sculpted in gold, with appropriately hinged and moving parts. When the repeater mechanism is activated, the couple in the background has the limelight square on them: the man’s hips move with each hour strike. However, it is the couple in the foreground that is the true subject of this timepiece. That couple, the woman standing behind the man, have moved a curtain aside and are watching the couple in the back. Hence, the watch’s “Voyeur” name. This “foreground” couple does more than just watch, however, and to the strike of the quarter hours and the more frequent minute strikes, the female uses a particular hand gesture that may not have been used in erotic watches to date.

Do you need to charge it or is it autonomous on solar power?

>The display on the F91W is better than on the G-Shock.

Viewing angles and contrast. I wish the digits were deeper black and looked the same from any angle. The backside of the screen could also be whiter, it looks greenish grey, use some actual silver you cheap fucks.

Yes, it's serviceable but come on the LCD technology has improved dramatically over the last 40 years. If they put their mind to it and make it better to look at it could be an actual premium digital watch.

I really like what baltany does. Why that specific model though? Do you like the dial or the case shape? They have similar models with quartz, which I agree is better

It's basic battery powered. It would've been nice if it was solar-powered though.

"Thoughts" I often post in /heem/, so I have a habit of typing in CTE.

I like the case shape mostly. It's pleasing to look at, and looks comfortable.

I really like what Baltany does as well. It's so much more interesting than infinite Sub clones. I'm really tempted by the MOP dial Oyster too.

No, they are not. A bunch of old senators back in 2018 wanted to cut the atomic clock funding from the budget but later back down after being told that it was a bad idea.
