I love it and its so beautifully crafted, but is it worth 180 euros for 50 ml? Debatable. Don't know what to do but it's one of the best tuberose jasmine fragrances out there. It's slightly indolic on the opening which I don't know how tired I'll be of that with a few uses, but the rest is so beautiful...

Also, it's better if I buy it straight from tauers website? I mean, does it give you samples and goodies? I might order more than one tauer fragrances but I don't know where

I order from Ecuacion regularly, but it's a hit and miss. Last time I asked for one specific sample and for the rest of them I said to put whatever they wanted to, and they didn't put the one I asked for and some of the others were open or duplicated from a previous order . I like them, they are really nice people and being able to buy 5ml decants on top of getting free samples is amazing. But also the samples are so small that lets you try to fragrance but not give them a proper wear.

About the expensive part, actually buying directly from xerjoff I get 4 2ml samples and a 10% discount. That's quite something...

Depends. To me, it smells like trash. That's it, high density trash. I hope for you that you don't perceive it the same way as I do. It's got the same molecule in it that's also in e.g. Oud Malaki, Jazz Club, Amyris Homme Extrait or Costume National Homme (and a few others, it seems to be a long-lasting quintessential "amber" molecule which appeared around 2014-2015). So if you like any of those, you'll probably like it in a way. This stuff has the highest concentration of it compared to the other ones.

I remember still the first time I saw the Vagner meme.
It was 73, Brahmscuck was on /classical/ with the trusty Sibelius. I'd never seen Vagner before, and found myself thoroughly entertained. I'd heard Vagner was a tranny meme, and it certainly showed in its humor. I distinctly remember smirking to the memes. But nothing could prepare me for the absolute show of wit that was about to come in first syllable of the word Vagner, when happened the eponymous vag.
Vagina! A single pun, and just after Wagner’s name! I burst out laughing. "Oh Brahmscuck" I remember thinking, barely managing to think straight at all between my chuckles and wheezing. "What a prankster! What a jokester!"
/classical/ attemped to calm me down, some even asking how I'd not known about the famous Vagner by then, popular as it was. Were they not happy one had been lucky enough to live to that point and still feel the pure, unadulterated Brahmscuck genius? Were they jealous? I did not know then, and do not care now.
I tried to calm myself, but kept chuckling all throughout the Vagners in the next post. At the edge of my seat, I waited for the repeat of the Vagner, this time hoping to control myself. Imagine my surprise then, during the next Brahmscuck post, when the Vagner surprised me further by not showing up at all! At that point I feared for my life, such was the lack of oxygen from my guffawling fit.
They only managed to removed me from the thread putting an end to my disruption after I'd already soaked the board in urine.

Like I said, it's highly individual. The modern perfume industry has created so many new synthetics which are perceived different by so many noses. Just look at stuff like iso-e super or ambroxan. The former smells really good to some, like pencil shavings to others, and can't be perceived by 50% of the people, while the latter is also either a strong woody scent or something creamy and unisex or they are also anosmic to it like with iso-e super. Personally, it's why I think that if someone ever comes across the Molecule fragrances at a store, they should test them. Sure, you can buy the stuff on eBay for cheap, but it's really just to quickly test your nose. For example, I think that M04 and M05 are absolute bangers and the rest is absolute trash, so now I know that I might just buy javanol and cashmeran in alcohol. But judging by their ratings on parfumo/fragrantica and the associated reviews, I know that there are many people who don't like the smell. The list goes on with stuff like Santal 33 and the associated "santal" molecule, whichever one that might be, that smells like straight up dill/pickles to me, although I'm usually a sandalwood enjoyer, and modern synthetic ouds, which all smell like crayons to me.
It's why I never blindbuy. A run to the store and I realize how much stinky trash there is and how it's not meant for me. I have no doubt that it will get worse in the future, as regulations demand new smelly molecules to replace whatever they have restricted. All I know is that notes and accords are entirely made up, have zero meaning and the only reliable thing is your own nose. Thanks for reading my modern perfumery rant.

How old is the sample? If it's from before around 2014, don't bother buying the current Le Male. Self-imposed restrictions by the IFRA have killed the coumarin content and the reformulation is not as good as the original. If it's more recent and if you like the current formulation, just keep the bottle in the metal can.
Gotta say I have unironically smelled current Le Male on a shit ton of zoomers in the city (and Le Male Le Parfum once or twice), which actually surprised me.

>Armani Code Parfum
Considering this is the stuff they killed every other Code fragrance for, it's just not worth it. Regular Code is better in my opinion, so if you like the Parfum, test Code itself. Neither of them has good longevity, though, but both have good projection.

It helps that I wear stuff that few people would find offensive or bad smelling, but even if my signature was Civet I'd still rock it. Fuck what people think, stop acting like a secondary character in your own life and that's a phrase that applies to everything not just smelly water

compliments are a youtube-meme. compliments are given because youtubers ask and survey others opinions on them.
also it's possible you might be discovering that fragrances truly aren't "for you", but you're approaching fragrances through something performative and trendy.

I don't even think of the feedback i get, it's not relevant.
because 60% of the people around me don't even wear perfume and the rest 40% either wear whatever they got on sale from an airport or literally Axe

Jaipur Homme is a really good sweet oriental vanilla fougere. Smells very high quality for the price. It's not particularly similar to Le Male though, more classy and more mature.

6€ for 90 mL of this Cool Water clone with some GIT mixed into it. Tested it at the drug store and then bought a bottle. The opening is very much like the current CW formulation. Drydown is a bit like a synthetic GIT with some CW notes, later it's once again the CW drydown. Performance is also the same as current CW (which means mediocre), but since it's even cheaper you can just go ham on the sprays. Good enough for the price, would recommend to anyone in Germany with a drugstore that stocks it nearby.

>Re: Nicolai
Bois Belize Intense is imo one of the best releases from Nicolai. Also, I prefer Amber Oud over Incense Oud (which is too strong and intense for me) by miles, but my taste runs closer to classic fougeres and chypres, so that doesn't come as a surprise that the lavender in Amber Oud does the trick for me. I also really like Vie de Chateau Intense and Weekend in Normandy from less popular Nicolai's releases, but this is due to me being fond of green notes. Odalisque is also one of the most stunning chypres I have ever put my nose at, but it's feminine-leaning, so you don't have to feel any FOMO. Overall, you should get a good feeling for the brand out of this sample set. It's quite well-balanced. However, set your expectations right. Nicolai is not one of these crazy niche brands that does mind-blowingly unique scents. What she does well (and I mean, extremely-well) is taking a classic French perfumery DNA, making art out of it and adjusting it to modern times. This is not Beaufort London, but I frankly prefer Nicolai to Beaufort just simply for creating the best masculine scent in the history - New York Intense. I'm probably on my 6th or 7th 100ml bottle of it, and don't see it going anywhere out of my rotation for the next decade.
