Not sure why anyone calls these "poor fag watches". I own $15 watches and $2000 watches.

Given the nature of this thread here's one I personally like its a New Zealand brand that buys swiss mechanisms typically quatz. I've had a couple like this. Under $500 USD typically but I like them more than say Swatch neither to I crap myself that I'm going to need to pay $1000s in repairs if I knock it.

These microshitters have no real heritage. People buy them because they want a cool-looking watch at a reasonable price. They're fine with mechanicals, but I would really prefer quartz - unless there's an interesting history like Vostoks or Seagull chronographs.

Now, unfortunately the consumerbase for sub-$500 microshitters is irrational, and are the other market for "UGH, MECHANICAL SOVL - JUST LIKE A ROLEX/OMEGA/ETC".

just bought a Grand Seiko and while I was there I asked one if the AD associate if they could put me on the list for an OP 41 in blue.

I thought they were going to go snobby on me because the GS was my first entry ''luxury'' watch but everything went well, they were nice, they put on the list, they took the time to talk about watches with me and 2 days later I recieved an email from the lady that I talked to saying that she liked talking to me about Rolex and aksing me if I needed anything else.

SO.... heres the thing. I'm not sure I want the OP 41 in blue anymore because obviously, its too similar to what I already have and would like to switch to the Explorer 40mm list. Is it okay to ask for this change? I know its a silly question but I'm a bit socially awkward and don't really know how these things work. I'm not ugly or fat or anything or scary looking, I just don't like interacting with people in general.

He doesn't understand any part of the equation. All he knows is there are 2 components, his car, and the key fob. Well, the key fob is small, so fixing that is cheap. Might as well see if the problem is the fob first, and I guess the problem is the magic pixies have stopped working, and that means the battery.

You have to learn to ask what exactly is the issue right away, instead of just taking things at face value. It's not "it don't work", it's "it doesn't work if I do this".
