Legibility at night is no problem, because the lume on the hour hand is so big. It's very easy to tell which hand is which.
If anything, a minor annoyance is the glare off the crystal at certain angles. It's never so bad that you can't read the time, since you can just look at the shine off the hands, but coming from a Planet Ocean, which has the greatest AR of any watch ever, it's a little jarring.

I did consider the Trilogy Railmaster but not the normal Railmaster.

I picked the Seamaster 300 over the Trilogy Railmaster in part because I liked the movement in the Seamaster better. It has an independently adjustable hour hand which makes it a very handy travel watch. It's a feature I think should be on all non-date watches.

Elegant dial with decidedly inelegant, industrial lugs. It looks like the lugs were attached as an afterthought because there was nothing left in the box. Breguet really has a problem translating their ultra classic styling to models made for modern, less classically inclined tastes.

The movements are all the same and, while the Oyster bracelet is slightly more durable than the Jubilee, the modern Jubilee is still plenty tough and does not suffer from stretch like the old hollow-link version did.

My personal preference is a fluted, white gold bezel, Jubilee bracelet, white stick dial. (Though if they still made the Turn-o-graph bezel, I'd want that instead.)
