I saw an internal (leaked) G-SHOCK magazine in Japan and there's two new MIP models. One's based on the 5600 and the other is based on the 6900. They've both got:

tough solar
MIP display
Bluetooth for time syncing

Both of these watch don't have any smart features (heart rate, step counter, etc) besides the time syncing and other features (alams, etc) with the app and they seem to be listening to the community. They are late 2023 releases. MSRP is 30,000 yen.

It's basically a solar square with MIP display, instead of atomic time syncing, it has been replaced with Bluetooth syncing.

Other things of interest were new colorways for BA001 and some of the other models like the Casioak, didn't see any solar BA001 variant. Maybe next year.

2714 is the serial number. Breguet puts them on the dial.
The model is actually 5140BA/12/9W6.

I bought it new about 6 years ago. The list price was around 20k CAD, but Breguet ADs are usually pretty generous with discounts.

Citizen beats seiko which is a massive meme spread through internet parrotting. Shit accuracy, bad alignment QC, stuffing budget movements into a more expensive ranges of watches.
Either go Orient, or get one of the following certified dive watches
>citizen BN0150 eco-drive
Solar quartz so you wear it and forget about it for 15+years when the capacitor needs replacing
>citizen NY0040 Auto
Hardy auto diver. The newer variant with the updated movement has hacking and handwinding and the older versions only hand handwinding but have been found to hold better accuracy over time. Trade off.
Wear for 15+years when the movement finally starts to have issues and you either find a living watchmaker to service it or you buy s replacement movement to slot in.
Both ecodrive and mech are about $250+/-

Quartz = fewer moving parts = less points of failure.
Solid state quartz like LCD g-shocks are the most durable because they don't have any moving parts. That's why in any image of actual soldiers today you'll see anywhere show them all wearing gshock/suunto/garmin.

Tacticool anything else is a larp. So don't get hung up on an automatic for it as it's a very shallow look and doesn't warrant the extra expense at all. A quartz traser? Fine, get it.

I'm honestly not convinced of that. He's just reading off a specs & features sheet while telling you a 47mm Panerai is suitable for a wrist as small as 13cm and, despite being 18mm thick, will easily slide underneath a dress cuff.

Ordinarily, that would bother me, but I know he's just shilling product, so I don't care. He has to lie to pay the bills. Then again, I don't watch him, either, as is my right.

Generally depends on if they are just doing a job for the money or actually care for the patients.
e.g.
>many years ago, grandpa has cancer (eventually dies doe to other chronic illness), our chaotic but actually caring doc uses experimental treatment (using cheap thalidomide based on then very new research, now sold at high price with new patent),
>scheduled radiation-appointment, radiologist only pissed there is nothing to radiate, doesn't care about the stuff being mostly gone.

Some are interested in cures, some only care for payment for treatments.

most doctors in the US at least only care about the monies. and I don't really blame them for it considering you can't become a doctor unless either your dad is bezos or you take on $500k in debt at high interest rates

not saying no one needs doctors but for 99% of doctor visits you're better off just going online and ordering the pills from a sketchy overseas pharmacy and paying with bitcoin, you can order just about anything that isn't amphetamines or opioids nowadays, oh and speaking of opioids, yet another example of why the medical profession is a disgrace

>He doesn't do concierge medicine
It's basically a club. You have a monthly/annual fee, but you get real personal attention and care from a doctor that actual knows and respects you, and vice versa. Last time I needed to go, we spent 20 minutes just shooting the shit before getting into the medical issue at-hand. Like the old days of having a doctor who gives a shit and is personable. They also get you in to see specialists immediately. Last time I needed a scan, he sent me to the place, there are dozens of people waiting in the lobby looking mad, I get called back to be scanned before I can even finish filling out the paperwork. It's the only way to do medicine in 2023 unless you like being treated like cattle by a doctor who doesn't have the time to get to know you are talk to you, even if he wanted to.
