I saw this Seiko quartz chronograph and thought it looked pretty nice. Good proportions and not too busy looking but then I saw it was 700€. Isn't that a lot for a no name quartz chronograph? Original Baltic complainer here. I still have the watch and haven't decided whether to return it/warranty it, or sell it onto some other poor sod. My problems were:
>runs more than +30s/day even though the movement is supposedly adjusted in 5 positions
>crown is physically difficult to wind
>watch doesn't seem to hold power reserve which implies it isn't winding itself much
I complained at first about the rotor seeming to not spin much but that seems to be slightly resolving itself so maybe it just needed to be broken in. Point is, I expected something that ran better than a Seiko 5, though maybe I should have had lower expectations for a $600 version of a movement that you don't usually see below what, 10k?

For the accuracy getting it set up at a watchmaker can do miracles but I wonder if your average watchmaker be willing to look at this movement since it's quite unusual. If you decide to keep it I recommend you do that.
