I'm not a fan of it personally because aesthetically I find it noisy and I already know how to do so but for people who don't know how GMTs work, the compass indicator in the bezel is really handy.

They also decisively crushed Seiko's -/+ 15s per year with the Spring Drive with -/+ 1 per year with the Caliber 100. How it even has an ECO-DRIVE on a Mechanical movement is pure insanity.

If anything, I don't like it when Youtubers keep preaching about GS > Rolex since it drives up the price of the ones I want. I can't help but see it as attempted market manipulation. Citizen are all about accuracy with their hand picked thermal compensated quartz movements. They boast having highest accuracy (as if anybody cares) but they made that regular quartz 1 second steps.

Why the hell wouldn't they make a "poor drive" solar watch that just makes 10 steps per second - i have no idea, seiko probably sucked them off to bury that tech.

There's magnets in the speakers and the microphones. Just as they're magnets in headphones.
I don't get how this app works without magnetizing shit. Watches magnetized by cellphones is a known and documented annoyance, especially the latest iphones.

>> No.17675510

>>17675504
It doesn't apply to watches and magnetization though because the watch would still work, but it would ultimately start moving a bit too fast than it's intended.

The Miyota 9000, as great as it is, is unfortunately susceptible to those issues, so if your phone can accommodate a magsafe, it's not safe for your watch, unless it's equipped specifically against magnetization.

Looked up property records, found out he's been double dipping on taxes by renting the property but filing it as vacant for $7.5k tax credits. Brought it up to him and if he doesn't address his niece's bullshit, it's going straight to both building inspectors and the IRS.

It got everybody evicted, including the fat bitch. Found a new place two days later so I didn't need to stay an entire month.

People with chronographs fucking annoy me.
Like, who the fuck do you think you are? You don't need a chronograph you histrionic cunt, stop pretending you time things.
Get a 3 hands and shut the fuck up.

I don't like chronographs.
I've tried to see whether or not I like them but in every single instance I always prefer the less cluttered version instead. If I wanted a cluttered watch it'd be something like triple/annual/perpetual calendar sort of deal. It adds unnecessary clutter to the whole time telling function of a watch, and thus extra cost come servicing, without actually being useful like the calendars. Shit I can find more use for a moonphase than a chronograph.

The last time I had time time shit was in physics in HS. The fuck do I have reason for it now?
You know what would be actually useful and what annoys me that basically nobody offers?
Countdown bezels; infinitely more useful in daily life and it doesn't require any extra mechanical complication.

You can inb4 all you want, a chronograph is extremely useful for any non-manchildren who cooks for himself. I don't really time steaks, I've got a thermometer for those, but for pasta, rice, or anything that goes in the oven it's really convenient. Another major usecase for me is to time stretches and postural excercises that I do throught the day when I take breaks from sitting.

>isn't that basically what a diver offers?
Nope. Basically every single diver's bezel on earth ever, except one rare vintage seiko that goes for crazy money and can only be fixed by an old mr.miyagi living in mt.fuji who could die at any moment, has an elapsed time bezel.
A countdown bezel does what it says: shows you how many minutes/1hr you have left until a set time.
Have 23mins before you have to do something? Countdown bezel is useful.
Need to know how much time passed since you started doing something?
Regular ubiquitous elapsed time bezel.
I have waaaaay more uses for the former and I think most people would too.
Note pic related how the numbers are reversed from the regular clockwise "to 15mins" diving bezel you see everywhere.
Sinn 104 has one.

The GA2100 at least can be modified to a wide extent, there's a growing market for its customizations so you at least won't get bored with what you have.

But I'd like more an automatic/mechanical one, and I already have (though cheap and quartz, it was the first non-plasticshit watch I was given) a chronometer watch, I like the speedmaster better in beige but it's not quite what I want right now either

It wouldn't be so awful if the lume wasn't shit and the second hand actually aligned with the markers.

none of these, the middle one is closest to what I would at least consider, as the other two are horrible imo, but only if it has a tuning fork movement and didn't just slap that logo for shits and giggles
get them pulsar, timex, casio, seiko, citizen
a solar one, ideally, unless the older one knows what is and wants a mechanical
