Your image helped a lot. I know what shape I'd like. The theme for this room Marshall Fields Frango Mint. The color palette is dark browns, oxidized copper/green, and gold. The lamp has a finial which is a cut crystal which refracts small rainbows when sunlight passes through it. I kind of want to replace it. It's too busy.

I am feeling the gold as well. I did find some shades that are solid colors on the outside but lined with either reflective gold or silver. Those are appealing as well because you would not necessarily notice it until you glanced at the lamp shade in passing. More than likely would cause a double-take.
