I like this Vostok Amphibia but I've never had a watch I've had to wind more. I wind it when I take it off if I'm gonna wear it the following day. If it isn't wound quite a bit the hands get stuck on each other. I have regulated this and gotten +/- 4 seconds. But round trip through an airport will nosedive the thing into +/- 10-14. Over all for a $100 diver I'm enjoying it. Already scratched the acrylic. Nice.

It's a cultural phenomenon. Like most non-Enlightened, non-Christian cultures, they view the genitals as the source of Life, not the immortal soul.
It's up to the individual to determine how long they are able to countenance such things before descending into sin.

The Omega's very cool (the only good Seamaster Diver, really) so only replace it if you have something at least equally cool to replace it with.
The Citizen...meh. Neat technology in a boring as fuck watch.
As for the G-Shock and the Seikos, put them in a drawer somewhere. Like you said, no point in selling. It would hardly be worth the time and postage.

If you kept the Omega as a casual watch and the Rolex as your daily wear, then logically, you'd want some kind of a great fuck-you piece. Something maybe precious metal, maybe even by an independent...

>50M WR - should be fine for a pool right? NO
>watch is wet inside and fucked, much like the aforementioned thot later that night
father took the RM to RM and they told him that it wasn't protected under warranty because he needed to have it serviced every 18 months and he didn't. Current RM service turnaround is 12months. So you wear the RM for a year and a half, and off to sevice for a year and repeat.
That's the official line. Or you could get it fixed by an independent watch repairer. Or, you know, buy a watch with more than 50M WR for perhaps <3.5mill. A thought.

Another story:
>guy plays grab ass with his wife around the pool at home
>Lange Saxonia , 30M WR

The Altiplano is legit. Also, no one wears ultrathin dress watches so no one cares.

An actually interesting independent. They have good movements, but their designs are godawful. People who like them are generally pretty sticky.

Yeah, I think so. You could argue it's kind of already there, given how many manufacturers are competing to see who can make the thinnest watches.

As the mainstream watch buying public gets into smaller (diameter) watches, thinness will naturally follow. To wit, a 42mm wide, 13mm thick watch is proportional, while a 38mm, 13mm thick watch is a chunk.

Whats stopping seiko or miyota from mass producing retardedly thin movements for other manufacturers to buy off the shelf? Does it cost significantly more to manufacturer components 10-20% smaller? Actually yes. Thinness comes with huge durability issues. Designing an ultra thin movement is a real undertaking that most companies don't feel the need to bother with.
Rolex, for example, is never going to make a 6mm thick watch, so they're not going to bother.

The Cartier Tank watch, designed by Louis Cartier in 1917, has gone through several evolutions in size and shape during its century-long history. As preferences and styles changed throughout time, the Tank watch adapted to consumer tastes, but it still maintained its iconic rectangular shape and Roman numeral dial. Here's a summary of some notable Tank models and how their sizes have changed:

1. Tank Normale (1917): The first Tank watch had a relatively small, rectangular case (23mm x 31mm) and was relatively slim. It was mostly targeted toward men but was considered unisex by modern standards.

2. Tank Cintrée (1921): This version featured a much longer, curvier rectangular case (20mm x 45mm) and maintained the slim profile of the original model.

3. Tank Basculante (1932): The size of this square-shaped model was approximately 23mm x 23mm, and its main innovation was the ability to pivot the case for protection or concealment.

4. Tank Chinoise (1934): This model had a more square-shaped case (26mm x 34mm) and distinct Chinese-inspired lugs.

5. Tank Louis Cartier (1970s–1980s): The Tank LC had several size changes during this time. Initially, it was around 23.5mm x 30.5mm with a slim profile, but by the 1980s, a larger, 33.5mm x 25.5mm case size appeared in response to the popularity of bigger watches.

6. Tank Française (1996): This update had a redesigned bracelet, and the case size was 25mm x 30mm for the small model, 28mm x 33mm for the medium model, and 36.5mm x 28mm for the large model.

7. Tank Anglaise (2012): This modernization included a reworked crown design and different case sizes, which were 30.2mm x 22.7mm for the small model, 39.2mm x 29.8mm for the medium model, and 47mm x 36.2mm for the large model.

8. Tank Solo (2013): With this modern interpretation, there were two size variants: the small one measuring 24.4mm x 31mm and the large one at 31mm x 40.85mm.

Anything with Master Chronometer on the dial (so far just Omega and Tudor) is guaranteed to have been tested to its stated water resistance. (Every single watch, not just a random sampling.)
Water resistance testing is part of JLC's 1000 Hours Control process.
