It's Parfumo and they market place souk. Since fragrances gain more and more publicity and normies are into niche now you can see an increase of absurde offers.
Literally zoomers who heard from Chaos Fragrance on Youtube that Naxos is the ultimate tobacco fragrance, so they think they can sell it for 1000 bucks.
Usually you can buy fragrance for 10 to 50% cheaper than in retail there. Normies ruining everything.

My impressions about all decants I bought. Last time I buy designer decants, like, I don't wanna act like a niche snob, maybe my choices weren't the best but damn, absolute waste of money:

Sauvage elixir: 8/10 , it preserves the sauvage DNA but it adds like 50 layers of depth to it, rich and beautiful. Fresh and warm and the same time, I'll probably get my hands on a bottle soon.

Club de Nuit sillage: terrible mess
Detour noir:6/10 beautiful opening, but on the deep dry down it goes to shit
Kenzo homme intense: inofensive sport smell, first Quentin I try that I don't like. Nuclear performance tho.
Spicebomb extreme : mass appealing spicy fragrance. Good for what it is, but way better things with the same profile.
Badee al oud amethyst: easy to wear rose oud fragrance, ridiculously good for the price.
Khamrah: best thing that came out the arab clone craze in the last few years. Goes its own way.
Hacivat: synthetic mess that gets good at the two hour mark.
Le male lp: overly sweet and annoying , good quality but boring
Toy boy: 7.5/10. Good quality rose fragrance with a little edge. If this was a initio release, they could sell it for four times the price and noone would complain.
Arrakis: great citrus woody smell, too simple for me but high quality.
Shurah: great quality for the price but gets cloying quickly in my nose. Annoying.
Club de Nuit iconic: fucking shit, worst thing I've smelled in a long time

I can elaborate further if someone is interested

I think I either have skin from hell or I am a noselet. Everything described as subtle, understated or intimate will drive me mad if it turns out to be an amazing scent, but I will need to battering ram my nose into skin to sense it well enough. 20 minutes of shitty projection into skin scent is like a 1/3 of stuff I sample and I don't sample Jo Malone or colognes... It is definitely not an olfactory fatigue or I am surrounded by even more impaired noselets as I inquired profusely.

There are limitations to how well perfumes can give you an impression of a scenery. What places or situations do you think perfumes capture well other than incensey churches, powdery make up bags and damp patchouli/cashmeran basements? Soil and forest so far for me were almost convincing, but not quite there. Florals are very varied with some flowers being unpopular and almost impossible like lilac in contrast to rose, lavender, lily-of-the-valley etc.

LADDM doesn't smell like the desert, but it smells like a souk or a caravanserai kind of. It definitely evokes a picture in my mind, but one that is less desolate than an arid landscape. Whenever I smell LADDM I think "this is how Fremen must smell"

I also find that the Kenzo line evokes various landscapes. EDT makes me think of the sea on a windy summer day, but more like a rocky shore, not a sandy beach. EDP is interestingly more summery to me, probably because of the faintly fig-like sweetness that complements the marine notes, I'd describe it as a summer night because it's a weird mix of dark and tropical.

It's probably a Bisch thing (and no I'm not a bischfag, I dislike BI and think Ganymede is unwearable despite being interesting). But Ganymede itself is also landscape-like in the opening, very mineralic and desolate. It smells like nature, but the dead kind.

Hermes tends to make landscape-like frags, especially the Jardin line.

The last one to come to mind is Montabaco Intensivo but that one is only evocative to me because I swear it smells exactly (and I mean exactly, it's the exact same scent) as my dad when he used to smoke

Ecuacionnatura is a store anon recommended to me recently when I asked where to get Pineward fragrances from. They have Imaginary Trannies too. I got their discovery set and to be honest my opinion is that city on fire is a 10/10 and everything else is average. I guess slow explosions is good too kind of. Ok, my skin is cursed. Dabbed La fille de Berlin on clothes and it lasted 3+ hours of solid presence, slightly less complex and more clean profile on clothes I assume due to oakmoss as the clean part was reminding me of a chypre Exit the King ELDO. Only after 3 hours it started to smell as faint as skin only application after 30 minutes. It strains light coloured clothing like you got SAed by teletubbies, so that is a pleasant bonus too.
FML. Do I need to retest everything now on clothes and skin separately? I had a lot of samples I liked, but they got murdered by my skin performance wise, despite being monsters in majority of reviews, like Perris Monte Carlo Oud Imperial.

Thanks for the detailed response, appreciate it. Did you imagine desert and caravanserai or had irl experience? I find a lot of cave and mineraly descriptions memey af after doing some caving. In my mind Fremen definitely do not smell of a nice perfume lol.
Ganymede to my nose is like some cyberpunky blackberry freshness, a high-fashion hologram ad by a silvery android or a new office building erected in seconds with no wood or plant is sight.

I've never been to the desert so it was just what I romanticized in my imagination. Yeah I guess real nature doesn't quite smell like this, to me it's more like a vibe rather than a "photorealistic" feeling.
I don't know, there's a kind of raw spiciness to LADDM, it's not animalic or dirty but it's definitely not clean either.
Ganymede smells artificial to you? In my mind, the saffron and immortelle give it a natural feel. But it's definitely a very cold scent. Encelade is warmer

Wrong. Bois Imperial is the best woody fragrance on the market. It's high-end niche, but inexpensive. Thanks to Mr. Bisch, the master perfumer, who composed the notes so well together that it probably didn't need to be extremely expensive. Other mediocre niche brands can't achieve Mr. Bisch Level of perfume mastery with good prices later on the market.
Smelling Bois Imperial will show you a photorealistic scene of fresh cut plank of woods. But it's also spicy therefore addicting, there's pepper, patchouli amd akigalawood, literally mouthwatering on a 16k olfactory level of resolution.
