i own a speedmaster x-33 and it has a few features that you would probably get some use out of. like UTC clearly displayed as a backdrop to your local time, multiple mission elapsed time which is rather useful when you have multiple stops during a flight, and an 80 decible alarm which is specifically designed to be heard in places such as a cabin (or a space station such as the ISS which is apparently quite noisy).

omega also has the z-33, which according to them is designed for pilots but i don’t know anything about it.

I'll go check out an Omega dealer. I've read they're way more friendly and helpful than Rolex dealers. I'm still on the Rolex list (I think), and if they call I will buy. But groveling to wagies for the chance to buy a watch just doesn't sit well with me.

They went from utilitarain tools to jewelry, so bigger is mo better.
The watch world is very slow to adapt, so a decade ago 43mm+ watches were the norm.
We as customers are shrinking back nowadays, but the market is half-asleep, so you get things like oversized Longines recreations where you can feel that the proportions just do not fit. Among others.

Some of them do offer sellita and other higher end swiss movements. I think for most of their watches they offer an option to upgrade to a swiss movement for about $200 or so extra. Maybe that can be worth it to you if you want a """"rep"""" that's not actually a rep so you can at least cope about how hard you need to cope, but I think a lot of people would say going up that much higher in price kind of defeats the purpose of buying Chinese shitters. When you start looking at paying $500-700 for a watch you start seeing actual Swiss brands with some real pedigree to them and the aliexpress shit just intellectually speaking gets harder to justify.

The sale assistant at my AD told me that one of the most annoying part of the job is to deal with people who succeed to get their names on the waiting list but don't actually have the money.
Apparently there are tons of retards out there who walk into an AD and ask for a Submariner or a DJ, but once they get the call they would ask for extra time only to back down several weeks later.

Honestly I don't really blame ADs for selling to known customers and flippers. It's an effective way to have a steady cash inflow.

I just wish Rolex would stop this AD distribution thing and open a webstore at this point. One watch per customer. First come first served.

You are having these problems because bracelets are inherently uncomfortable. There is no good fit for a bracelet. Usually the fit that makes the watch sit nice and centered on your wrist is too tight at a certain hour of the day. If you make it looser, the watch won't sit as nicely, and as you walk it might slide down over the wrist bone. All the people you see with bracelets have spent years forcing themselves to tolerate such an anti-ergonomic solution. Almost every time I spend some hours with a normie wearing a watch on a bracelet, they take it off and put it on the table at a certain point.
Just use rubber/nylon/perlon/leather
