There are too many variables to determine if long socks look good with shorts. You just have to use trial and error. In my opinion you either have to go full casual or full tryhard fancy boy. If you fall in the middle it's a danger zone. You can also just try to dress like a dad or an american on vacation.

This chart is based on straight or slightly wavy hair, but as to silhouettes, shapes and proportions, it still stands, you can "shape", i. e. cut and style your hair like the three one the left, but the shapes on the right would bring imbalance or would be too massive. I'd say with wavy or curly hair you'd have to cut your hair, especially the sides, regularly for a conventional or business look, really short sides would pronounce the lower face to much, longer sides would look heavy.

I want to turn a t-shirt into one of these australian dropped armhole vests using scissors. Will this affect the t-shirt's integrity, i.e. faster unraveling of thread during each washing cycle?

>> No.17619209

>>17619202
nvm

got this answer from chatgpt:

Yes, cutting a t-shirt into a tank top with scissors will potentially affect the shirt's integrity over time. When you cut a t-shirt, you're breaking the weave of the fabric, which can lead to fraying or unraveling, especially with regular wear and washing.

Here are some things to consider:

Fraying: Cutting the fabric will leave raw edges which can fray over time, especially after washing. This could lead to an undesired look or even holes in the fabric.

Stretching: Depending on how much of the fabric you remove and where you cut, the remaining fabric could stretch or warp, altering the fit of the shirt.

Fabric Type: Different types of fabric respond differently to being cut. For example, jersey knit (the fabric most t-shirts are made from) doesn't fray as much as other fabrics, but it does roll at the edges after being cut.

If you want your DIY tank top to last longer, consider these tips:

Sewing the Edges: If you have sewing skills, you could hem the edges of your cuts to prevent fraying.

Using Fabric Glue or Fray Check: These can be used to seal the edges of the fabric to prevent fraying.

Cutting Method: When you cut, try to make a clean, straight cut. Jagged or uneven cuts are more likely to fray.

Washing: Hand washing and air drying the shirt will help preserve the integrity of the cut edges.

Fit check on these 874s? These are 33x29 and feel pretty tight on the waist. I tried one size up (34) and they were gigantic in the legs, unfortunately.

I'm currently dieting and down to the last ~7 lbs/3 kg, should I keep em for when I'm less of a fat ass? Thanks boyos.

I got this style last time I got it cut. I don't really think it has a name, unfortunately. Make sure you see a hairdresser, not a barber, they'll cut it way too short, I've done this :'). Anyway, just say you want a medium length style with a middle part that you're going to sweep back. Ask for it to be a little shorter at the fringe. It's easiest just to bring a picture; the lady who cut my hair pulled one up for me on her phone to confirm that this sort of thing was what I wanted.

I think this style is very specific. This is the 80s, Richard Gere, right? I grew up around that time, my father had this style to some extend, note the belt, the watch and the lapels of the shirt, somewhat utilitarian, but classy at the same time, no big watch/ chronograph, elegant in form and detail. The shirt couldn't be white. It's classy, but not fancy pants, and goes together with the wash of the denim, which is very casual, more on the rough side, this style has an adventurous component. Where the aspect of the manliness comes in. The tan, the physique, and the fine five-o-clock shadow. Now you complete the whole thing with what makes the modern man, very moderate feminine traits, shorter than medium length hair, and no standard men's shades, you'd need to be Richard-Gere-pretty to pull off glasses this feminine. Chicks went nuts for that shit, and Richard Gere in particular.

Ive had these canvas SLPs for like 8 years and theyre starting to go. They only cost like $135 or something, but theyre broken in well, is it worth attempting to find someone to repair this or should I just get a new pair? Also, should I get them in pure white or an off/eggshell white.

I love coats, but it is summer and I don't really have any summer coats, just a light leather coat, and few baggy jackets. Does anyone have a good recommendation for some cropped furs or a thin cotton or lightweight leather trench coat? Preferably in lighter colors but that doesn't really matter. I have a decent amount of money for my coat addiction but I really don't want to spend more than 40 grand for furs and 7 grand for leather coats (I know spending that much money on coats is stupid, but I live in a complete shithole that I own with no mortgage so I've got lots of spending money) but fake fur is definitely preferable not only for the price but also for the lighter materials. pls help me

I've been losing some weight recently and I decided to buy a pair of pants. To my surprise I can wear a size 32 waist. Problem is... Isn't that basically a sissy twink waist size? Normal adult males shouldn't be able to wear such sizes, right?

Also my waist is like 88cm. So I first bought a 34 waist size which according to the site is a 89cm waist but that was way too fucking big so I exchanged it for a 32 waist size which according to the site is 84cm but it fits perfectly. What the fuck is going on? Do the manufacturers not actually know what size their own pants are?

Anon, hiding it isn't the only way to improve your looks when you have an unflattering feature. Just like when you have a shitty round face shape and you're choosing a pair of sunglasses, you get a pair that adds some contrast and improves the whole look, not a pair that literally hides your entire face. This is fashion 101. I don't want a beard not only because it's not necessary to hide my whole jaw, but also because it's fucking gay. My entire family is full of bearded men and I hate it. I like goatees, mustaches, maybe a chinstrap, not more than that. I'm looking for opinions on what works well with this kind of facial contour.

I don't really care too much about looks, but it'd be nice if it was something neutral. If this matters any, I wear boots, jeans (with belt, also considering switching to braces but that's for the future) and some t shirt with short sleeves. Regular detergent weighs heavily on our water, an ecological one would be reasonable. Generally, detergent is pretty effective, so a small amount suffices. For better results on whites, add washing soda. For bacteria critical clothes, you can add washing disinfectant.

I'm a 29yo woman in France who looks like a teenager because of a medical condition and probably also because I'm not white and I live in a white majority country so people are a bit biased as well when it comes to my looks. I'm shorter and skinnier than average so I have a hard time finding clothes my size that aren't the most basic things like plain cotton tshirts.

What brands would you recommend so I can have a more business casual look? At the very least I want to be taken seriously in a professional setting, and that's the case right now but I could change jobs later because my company is shit and looking younger than I am legit costed me job opportunities ever since I turned 18. I kind of like Sud Express but it's a little bit expensive. What else would you recommend? If you know Japanese brands aside from Uniqlo I'm all ears because I'll go there for holidays very soon.

salomon is mostly cheap chink shit, that said you're probably a sedentary urbanite so it doesn't actually matter because you don't need performance, if you think it looks nice buy it

You should go back if you don’t like that people are biased. You’re the invader and your opinion doesn’t matter.

Like the other anon said, it will roll inward at the edges so cut a little wider than you want and wash before wearing.

I made cutoffs 3 years ago that haven't gotten any worse

summer is the easiest season by far cause you don't need to worry about layering a cohesive fit. just buy good quality shirts and bottoms and you're chilling.
