TLPH smells like urinal cakes and gothrock dude has been testing things for multiple threads now and then bought his favorites. On that note, it is really not worth mentioning TLPH. The piss puck fragrance should only be mentioned combined with Kouros - so you can add straight piss to your piss puck. Combined, they make the perfect "gas station toilet" scent, or the scent of a long-haul trucker cab filled with piss bottles. I'd rather wear Terror & Magnificience than the toilet juice.

Eau Sauvage Parfum is the name of the fragrance, the concentration doesn't matter for the name. It is NOT Sauvage, which comes in three "concentrations" (should be called versions) and as an "Elixir". The implied concentration is also unrelated to strength, longevity, sillage and anything else. They are simply used to denote different fragrances. So Eau Sauvage Cologne, Eau Sauvage and Eau Sauvage Parfum are three different fragrances, while Sauvage EdT, EdP and Parfum are also three different fragrances.

Got a bunch of samples and my thoughts so far

1. EA Stronger with You - 100% will cop this and makes me want to be gay so I can have a boyfriend that smells as good as this that I can bury my face into
2. JPG Ultra Male - very powerful but it's a bit like you showered in Monster energy drink. Need to try JPG Le Male
3. Allure Homme Sport - the floral and wood in it is lovely but it mostly just smells like a boring fresh citrus fragrance
4. Montblanc Explorer - potentially good gym frag but also smells like car seatbelts
5. Montblanc Legend - wore off fast and I prefer Explorer, need to try again
6. Versace Dylan Blue - not tried yet
7. Versace Eros Flame - not tried yet
8. Acqua di Gio EDP - not tried yet
9. Rasasi Hawas - very juicy citrus and fairly long lasting but boring
10. Prada Luna Rossa Carbon - not tried yet
11. Prada Amber Pour Homme - another 100% cop, clean and fresh probs my goto office scent for when I go to the office once a year
12. Acqua di Gio Profumo - don't see the hype, was flat on my skin and didn't last long but maybe a bad sample
13. AdP Fico di Amalfi - not tried yet but after trying a bunch of these citrus ones I learned that I don't like citrus much at all. Citrus is too common and overbearing for me

Be aware that SWY will become less interesting the more you test other stuff. At first I thought SWY Absolutely was great, but then they just recycled the same notes in a million different "current" fragrances. Ultra Male has nothing to do with Le Male. It doesn't. Le Male is super clean without anything warm and spicy. Those two are somewhat cool because of that. Le Male is in my top 3 scents but it's exactly because it's just clean and comforting.

you sure you're not thinking about a flanker or something? to my nose it's fairly spicy and not what I'd call super clean. the base reminds me of cookies with vanilla and spices

Hello anons, complete noob here and I want to make sure my first purchase is something close to what I'm looking for. After reading through the pic, I think I'm looking for a Fresh Green fragrance, due to primarily using it for this summer and because it sounds like it lasts the longest. I plan to start with the Guerlain Homme EDP since it's the cheapest there, but if there are any other suggestions not listed I would appreciate them greatly.

Some follow up questions: where should I be applying for longest lasting effect? Clothing or skin? Also, I have some old random fragrances that were gifted for Christmas/birthdays that I am not sure on the quality of, nor whether they're still "good" if that's even a thing. It seems like they smell for a minute or two before dissipating completely, and I've gotten others to confirm so that it's not just that I got used to the smell. In short, can fragrances go bad/expire? Should I just toss all this old stuff and start anew? Thank you all in advance.

Perfumes have way too many components and factors influencing their perception. Trying to describe them past broad categories is a meme. Even people with 500+ collections cannot describe perfume good enough to beat even 10% effect of buying a sample and trying it on your own skin. All of the descriptions and forums are mainly hobbyist sperging to either hype up your buying addiction and sweet longing while yet another box is in transit or feed autistic interest of wondering how other people perceive stuff you already have.
If non of this brings joy to you it would be silly to sperg more than a quick glance at summary of longevity, sillage and "This perfume reminds me of" on Fragrantica.

You presume to know that Tom ford fragrances "aren't supposed to be complex"?

Compare any tom ford to angel. Here you have in a nutshell the substantive difference between muglers approach to fashion and tom fords. Angel is subversive and playful, the mix of dirty patchouli and sugary confection is hilarious, original and utterly memorable. Compare to Tom Fords offerings which seem to be mostly quite derivative (Tuscan leather being a face lift of knize ten etc...) and not particularly surprising.

Combine this with the cynical pricing and you have a fragrance house that I think it would benefit all of perfumery if it just disappeared...

I am now an Imaginary Authors shill. I emailed them with a couple of random inquiries and the perfumer himself answered my email within a couple of hours and was super nice and cool about everything. To be honest not all of their fragrances are that good, but the 3-4 that I like are really top tier. And they're not too expensive either. God bless whoever recommended me A City on Fire in here a while back when I was looking for a more unique fragrance. It's such godlike scent. Amyris is too basic for this price point, especially since you'd have to go for extrait to actually get any performance out of it. NTA but to me, VUI is way sweeter compared to DHI/DHP and has a different leather note than DHP (more "modern" handbag leather, it's a similar leather note as in e.g. 1 Million). It's good, but I prefer DHI and especially DHP. I think VUI lacks the woody base and uses that leather instead, although that is what makes it different and interesting in its own way. Worth testing at a store if iris is your thing, but not a must-have if you already own DHI/DHP.

Second time my fragrance boxes have damage on them and all they offered me was to let them know when I place an order next time, so they can put a coupon in there for my order after that. Implying there's gonna be a next order. Could have just given me a discount code right now even if it's like 5% or some shit. Thinking I'll bother getting in touch with you with my next order just so you can allegedly give me a discount and potentially make sure you don't damage my shit is crazy. I've spent so much money at this store and when I was about to drop 300 the last last time I ordered I asked for a discount code on IG, and they said they don't have any. Fair, you don't have to give me one necessarily, even though I've ordered so many times, but now you're telling me you do have codes, when you previously lied about it. Bitchass store. Pic related is not a big deal really, but if you can't remove a tag without fucking up the box, then fuck you. First time I didn't complain, but there's no reason for this to happen twice.
