I am anosmic to ambroxan and couldn't smell soil in Hermann, so maybe anosmic to geosmin as well. Yes I get toy boy without pear as the closest, but I never struggled with sensing toy boy it is a sillage and longevity monster while this one seems to give me almost an immediate olfactory fatigue as if I went through a bottle of this in a month and now go noseblind in seconds. I might just be broken since it happens with other complex scents like Serge Lutens L'orpheline and not just memes like JHG and Molecules 1&2.

Ended up with Mercedes Benz Black Club because I really liked the leathery vanilla smell.

2023 kouros is no longer so animalic, a big part of it is clean soapy fresh herbal, like fresh laundry. Then there is a sweet honey musky kind of funk that gives it a dirty edge as well as some darker spicy notes, clove, incense. It's what I imagined "Sauvage" would smell like before I actually tried it. If you're unlucky with skin chemistry this can smell a little bit like piss.
It's a year round scent imo but in high heat and if you get sweaty the dirty side of it becomes overbearing and unpleasant. It has strong sillage and longevity which also means you should be conservative with it.
It's become my signature scent in a record amount of time and I hope the pricks at YSL never discontinue it in favor of some sugary sweet vaguely sausage inspired blue shit.
