Without a doubt it will suck and be composed from whatever L'Oreal could get their hands on for cheap right now. All their new releases have been uninspired and similar as fuck. Just tested Azzaro Wanted Eau de Parfum, released this year, and it was basically the clary sage note from YSL Y, but with sugar on top. Felt like a two note fragrance, although it actually lists 3 (lmao). They will discontinue the already diluted AdG Profumo and probably Profondo or Profondo Lights as well, and you will get boring shit in return.

I'm not great at picking apart scent details, but it's a really smooth and sweet tobacco/vanilla. Havana Conference and Sex & Cigarettes are both really boozy in comparison, but still good. Tabac Noir is less sweet and fruity smelling than Mancera's Red Tobacco. Man this is really nice, I'll probably get a full bottle of at least this one.

Memo Paris Discovery Kit review

>Inle - A
Soft delicate white floral with a roundness of a white tea. Quite feminine, but pleasing all the same. Not at all overwhelming.
>Lalibela - B
Powdery coconut rose, is interesting but can become really loud and sweet.
>Marfa - A
I wish I could pull this off. Its a white floral, almost dusty orange. Marfa, Texas is known for having odd lights in the sky. There is a certain mystery to this one, I think a certain person could pull this off.
>French Leather - B+
Limey, rose. Like the inside of a very expensive leather purse. Pleasant, but rose isn't really my thing.
>Iberian Leather - C
Okay, I get it, but I don't like it. It's like a more tame version of Zoologist T-Rex that I had tried a few months ago, the only thing missing is the blood accord. But it is massive, too much for me.
>Irish Leather - A-
Salty, fresh windswept earth. Lives up to its name for sure. The saltiness can get a bit too much for some peoples liking but on a warmish day with rain it was lovely.
>African Leather - A+
Incredible. Its sweet, spicy, and aromatic at the same time without being too cloying. This is what I imagine Janelle Monae smells like.

Overall: B+, really interesting frags. Irish and African are the only ones I'd consider a full bottle worthy, at least for myself.

Escentric molecules if you feel like wasting money to know how each chemical smells like and sell it on ebay after (Escentrics 4 and 5 are decent though).
I want to buy now Serge Lutens 8x4ml since I fucking love Ambre Sultans and just full bottled Le Participe Passé, but it omits a lot of the stuff everybody jerks off too like Chergui, Santal Majescule, Fille en Aiguilles etc, so I ordered these from decant shops and will decide if I want to keep going after they arrive. Its definitely not 'contemporary' in any sense of the word, but it does have a really refined 'classic' feel. Very citrusy, very fresh, very daytime. Mediocre performance in both sillage and longevity. Not a good blind buy, but worth checking out if you can find a place with a tester. Girls with daddy issues will love it.

I've been liking these recently, Aromatics Elixir and Drakkar Noir.
The patchouli base in AE is fun, lets you affect different vibes, like it can be a bit sultry and mature but also just dirty.
And tho I don't normally do men's fragrances, Drakkar Noir has been fun to wear with certain clothes. I tried it at a gay bar as well as at a couple hardcore shows, and while I'm told it's very iconic among gay men, it felt pretty on point at these dimly lit dive bars and venues.

I love the confidence people have when they don't know what the fuck they are talking about.
EDP doesn't equal more projection, that's a marketing ploy foisted upon retards by the fragrance industry. In fact often times EDP, Parfum and extrait project less because there is less alcohol to oil, so evaporation isn't as powerful.

Legend EdP works great on me, that's why I suggested it, and also at least somewhat close to Fierce. You could also try Bentley For Men Black Edition - it's an even fruitier version of Montblanc Legend EdP. If you just want fresh, very fruity, long-lasting, powerful and "generic", but with no similarities to Fierce, just get Ultra Male. Fagranticafags will call it a winter fragrance, but since it's fruity and fresh I don't see it being a winter fragrance at all.

>> No.17592996

>at least somewhat close to Fierce
Is it a clone, or just the same scent profile (like Percival)?
> fresh, very fruity, long-lasting, powerful and "generic"
What about Y EDP? Will try UM too
And yes preferably I'd like something reminiscent of Fierce but I'm open to anything

>> No.17593003

>>17592996
I wouldn't call it a straight clone, but the scent profile is way closer to Fierce than the one of Percival. Y EdP probably fits your bill as well. The apple in it is fresh and the blue base makes it well-liked. It wasn't that great for me personally, since I prefer different fragrances (e.g. the Fierce-like frags). Of the Fierce-likes I have tested Platinum Egoiste has become my favorite (Fierce is actually a PE-like frag, a more youthful take on it), but it doesn't last that long. Legend EdP is the closest to Fierce and lasts rather long on me, Bentley Black Edition lasts a bit longer and is fruitier, Percival is a bit warmer and lasts the longest, but the price tag doesn't convince me, since I can even buy Platinum Egoiste for half the price of Percival when PE is on sale.
If you want to test Y and UM, also give Eros and Sauvage as well as their flankers are shot. Peak "generic", as some connoisseurs/snobs will say, but fresh, long-lasting and with Eros at least somewhat fruity.

this is actually pretty good (a steal considering the price), the opening is a citrus blast (not great, not terrible), drydown is very similar to Aventus but i will have to test that again to confirm
i don't sense any issues with the quality of the frag, this is perfectly suitable for everyday use, two small sprays will def last for a few hours at least

Why do you even ask? Do you really think a discontinued flanker of a rather recent designer is worth the inflated prices it's going for? Obviously not. Same with Pure Havane, same with Acqua di Gio Profumo (soon), same with Code Absolu and Code Profumo.

>>17594482
Your nose isn't broken, the blue fragrances are praised because they are easy to like - just like Tobacco Vanille as well. Reminder that there are people even in this thread who go out and blindbuy these expensive bottles. If you shill those fragrances to your followers and they hate them if they also blindbuy them, you lose credibility (and therefore you also lose your purpose as a marketing tool for the fragrance industry). That's why all the top 10 lists are the same. For actual fragrance discussion, you would go elsewhere, not YouTube or Instagram.
I've recently grown completely tired of every new release that is sweet - I smell them, I hate them. My only thought is "not again". It all smells like a complete lack of inspiration.
