Side question to the thread, how do I make my dive bezel easier to rotate? I tried using floss which helped a little, and the not super great, as well as running it under water. I suppose the seamaster kinda does have a difficult to rotate bezel due to the lack of a coin edge bezel.

GPS is 100% passive. A GPS receiver just takes signals from satellites and calculates your position. It doesn't have to calculate anything.

How the hell do I change the strap on this thing? I presume I need to do something about these front screws, but nothing happens when I turn them, I can't even get them loose.

Do I need to clean them somehow? Or is there something else I need to do to release the bar?

It looks like the case has 2 parts, and the bar doesn't have anything a release tool can grab onto, so I'm pretty sure I need to take it apart somehow.

Should I just add WD40 to the screws or something? Will that even help? Is there some trick for removing screws that just turn but won't come loose?

It's not just the weight. If your wrists are in a healthy typing position for long periods of time it's often more comfy to take the watch off. Plus you can lay it close to the monitor so you can keep an eye on the time without having to look down too much.

It does make sense. The rotor moves around while you're wearing it and winds the watch. You don't need to crank on it all the time, it's okay to let it wind down naturally. Positioning and shock also affect how the watch components move, that's why you lose more or less time depending on if the watch is laying face up or face down or on its side. All of this and more is why a lot of people advise against overusing watch winders. It's good for the watches to let them chill a bit.
