The milgauss hasn't made sense in years.
>special magnetic resistance watch, accomplishes this by having a soft iron layer under the dial and a second case back.
>this was top tier antimagnetic technology in the 80s
>meanwhile omega just makes movements without magnetic hairsprings, no need for soft iron liners
>all omega watches all have 10x the magnetic resistance of the rolex
>Special antimagnetic omegas have 100x the magnetic resistance of the milgauss
>rolex starts using non magnetic hairsprings in some watches, doesn't put one in the milgauss
It made sense when it was released as a tool watch for nerds and engineers that worked around certain heavy equipment but its been a relic of the past for a long time using outdated technology and not even coming close to the antimagnetic performance of competitors

I'm actually kinda sad that the entire Cellini lineup (and name) is gone now. Bought a dual time about 5 years ago as a retirement gift for my old man and it's a really good watch. A bit big for a classic dress watch imo but with big wrists it's fine.

take a look at Junghans. the Max Bill is a classic, but they have other good models too. they have a similar Bauhaus minimalist aesthetic to Nomos, a little more of a vintage domed look on some of their watches. I prefer their designs over most of Nomos desu
there's also Junkers and their sister brand Zeppelin if you want to cheap out more, they offer good value in the 200-500$ range but I think Junghans has nicer designs on average
