it's alright, for an amber it has a lot of spice, it is better than I expected actually. I thought it would be a subtle polo red/xeryus rouge type but it projects fairly well and has a good sprayer with a large mist.
And the pinecone bottle is easy to hold :)

Blind bought Platinum Egoiste finally.
Soapy fresh very similar to Azzaro Chrome but not overwhelmingly soapy like Azzaro.
Metallic notes in opening, and a hint of spiciness.
The only complaint is in the drydown it becomes very archaically manly in a non sweet musky way in the dry down.

My rule is don't blind buy stuff over $50 with some exceptions for rare vintage frags where it's not really feasible to sample. Get a sample or decant first, or even a well regarded clone.

SOTD. Actually put it on last night but it's still going strong. I thought I'd hate it at first but it's really growing on me. Very grassy and earthy, notes are "Patchouli, Lavender, Oakmoss, Lichen, Frankincense, and Vetiver".
Strong projection and longevity.
It's very reminiscent of a freshly potted plant where you can really smell the soil. They use real oakmoss in this.
I think it's something I have to be in the right mood to wear but worthy of a full bottle for the price. Not a compliment-getter but something to wear for yourself, and you will smell it on yourself.

Don't mog the bride and groom. Platinum Egoiste has already been recommended and I would go with something of similar quality and strength. You want to keep the sillage/projection down. Technically, even Cool Water would suffice. I've mostly been using PE myself and there have been a lot of weddings in my friend circle recently. More modern stuff that works would be the Bleu de Chanel line, LNDL Bleu Electrique or Gentle Fluidity Silver.

I like the smell of the current bottle. They must have recently reformulated it (within the last 3-4 years or so) and have been handing out a bunch of free samples since then. I have a bottle of that and a Lancaster CW splash bottle, and due to their differences in the drydown I would rate them as different fragrances, but I couldn't place one over the other. I have a 2009-10 bottle and IT SUCKS compared to the '98 Lancaster i had, even in the aperture they are different. The Coty one is powdery and with a stringent lemon, the old one was quite green and there's an obvious ozonic hint to it, maybe it still had high quality oak moss on it.
I read some blogger said CW after 2014 just downright sucks compared to all old ones, it uses the body spray formula to cut costs and it doesn't translate well into perfume because the aerosol is supposed to be dry and citrusy.

Hell, might as well post the other 2 clones i rarely see posted: Rasasi Egra and Lattafa Raghba For Man.
Sadly only the Champ one and the Lattafa are cheap around these parts and i have zero money right now as i am trying not to get in debt, so stuff like Adventure Knight or the discontinued Chez Bond are out of the league at this moment, Tres Nuit is still out of stock.
Between Lattafa and Al Rehab i will go for the latter as Dakar is pretty damn good for what it is.

Hey fags... Looking for a spring summer fragrance.

As sad as it is, the most compliments I've ever gotten on a fragrance have been on molecule 01. I only put on like half a spray because to people who are sensitive to iso-e super, it can be overwhelming.

The compliments and comments I've gotten have ranged from you smell like sexy pencil shavings to it smells just like Pepsi or cola, to just you smell good in general. Haven't really gotten that ever wearing creed aventus or tam dao edp or bvlgari aqua.


Should I just get another bottle of molecule 01? Is there a cheaper way to just get the iso-e super? Will distilling your own iso-e super really get you the same effect as molecule 01? Let me know fags. Pls. Help me.

Iso-e super smells different than M01 to me. Iso-e is pencil shavings all the way, M01 is a faint smell of book/paper. This is why I'd suggest getting M01 again if it got you the reactions you desired. It might just work better for you than regular iso-e super, of which there are apparently multiple versions with different isomeric ratios.
