Provide your age range.
>24-30

>Provide the season or climate you intend to wear the fragrance in.
No seasons where I live. It is just hot the entire year. Think about South-east Asia. Hot and high humidity.

>Provide your ideal price range for buying a recommended frag.
Honestly, the extremely devaluated local currency makes even "cheapies" to be overpriced so just don´t recommend anything too exclusive/super niche

>Provide some details on what type of scent you are looking for (favorite notes and accords, hated notes and accords, etc.)
Everyone is bored of fresh fragrances but it is truly the best option for this weather, I just want something fresh but unique and versatile at the same time. I like woods and rose. I don´t want anything citrusy.

>Provide some details on your intended aesthetic and setting for wearing a scent (frag for school, the office, dates, casual daily wear, etc.)
>Sorry to keep bringing the topic, but hot weather is the fucking worse to be /fa/. Most outfits are just basic shirts, polos and t´s with jeans and chinos. I´ve seen people wearing wool if they are feeling bold. Setting can be anything from walking the dog until going to a doctor´s appointment.

>Generally ignore any posts about fragrances that seem to intentionally evade your provided criteria, they are likely made by trolls and/or shills.

I’m growing some lavender bushes too. It grows nice where I live. But the modern version has a nice lavender too. I think the vanilla and musk saw the biggest difference in reformulation. I also have pic related and it wears like a edp compared to the other two versions. Unfortunately my current bottle is missing some of the lavender top notes after close to probably 100 years. But I got the bottle for $10 so I can’t complain. The vanilla in it is very powerful and long lasting.

It doesn't really smell fresh to me, I'll have to wait for warmer weather to see how it does. I think the goal with this one was to create a summer version of the OG Jaipur so it's toned down and lightened but still has the same profile.
It is not as good as the OG but I think for warm weather this will do well. It's discontinued but still on ebay for like $48/100ml, mine came brand new and sealed. Checkfresh says it's from 2013 which is probably the only year it was produced. For that price, I'd recommend it.

a lot of insight into the industry and the process of making perfumes. obviously im not an idiot and i dont think christian dior is in his basement mixing essential oils in beakera, clearly these fashion houses hire perfumers to make the products we all know that, but i was not really aware that these people are simply employees of bigger companies like Symrise, IFF, firmenich and others, and these big companies submit scents in order to bid on new frags the houses want to release. these companies hold the formulas, not the houses.

he does talk about molecules a good bit as well. we are all aware i think, of molecules giving impressions of notes. you cannot distill caramel and bottle it, that is impossiboe, but a molecule can give you the sweet impression of caramel for example. fair enough. but some notes are only achieved by mixing different molecules. maybe it goes without saying, but i am not talking about mixing a sweet creamy molecule with icy citrus to give a contrasting balanced lemon custard feel, i mean that synthetic vanilin mixed with a different molecule can make you smell chocolate. neither smells like chocolate on its own, at all, but when they are mixed you get some qualitative property greater than sum of its parts. not, this is a floral scent from a flower that doesnt exist - we can all accept that easily. but obtaining a note from mixing two completely unrelated chemicals is truly an olfactory illusion.

it is poorly writtwn from a style standpoint in my opinion, the author uses way too many parentheses and commas in order to write in some conversarional way which wnds up being clunky to read. the guy is a journalist though so i am not surprised he is shit at writing. however, the pacing and story itself is done really well. he follows 2 fragrances through the creative process, one at Hermes, and another at COTY and each chapter alternates back and forth. i am really enjoying it.

Definitely not just for the younger crowd...
You always hear that Versace Eros is the teen party scent of a bad idea... Maybe others think so, but I don't. For me, Eros is a very useful scent for everyday use that works for me in the same way as JPG Le Male. This one has just like Eros a fresh mint top note, a sweet heart note and a sweet spicy base note that is vanilla heavy. This fragrance is worn by men of all ages, although it is sweet and playful... So why is Eros labeled a teen scent? I can't understand it and I'm not going to be influenced by it! I am 35 years old and I think Eros suits me very well. About the scent itself I can say... It opens with lots of mint and lemon and a crisp green apple. In this phase the fragrance has a very good sillage and you are definitely noticed. After 30 minutes the mint and the apple say goodbye and lemon, tonka bean and geranium mix. Here it becomes a little sweeter and more playful. Also in this phase it is still well perceptible from the environment. In the base it stays sweet and you definitely notice the vanilla but it mixes with a little bit of spice (I think it could be the moss?). The shelf life is very good and with four sprays I can easily last 10h+ all day long! In summer I wouldn't necessarily wear it except maybe in the evening, but in winter, spring and autumn it works just perfectly. So far I have only received positive comments about this fragrance and nobody has ever said I smell like a party-happy teenager... So it's all a matter of opinion! I see JPG Ultra Male ehr as a teenager fragrance, because it is just overly sweet and almost feminine from top to bottom "Grin"... But fun aside! I can really recommend Eros to every man! I will definitely keep wearing it.
Even though I got 40+ because age is just a number. ;)

Got a bunch of perfumes for free from my father, who likes perfume but who barely ever wears it because it gives my mom headaches. I can try them all and keep whatever I like.

Included:

> Lorenzo Villoresi Piper Nigrum and Yerbamate
> Fragonard Siecle
>Truefitt & Hill West Indian Limes
>Geo. F. Trump West Indian Extract of Limes
>Saint Germaine Diptyque Philosykos and Eau Duelle

I'm 29, haven't thought about scents at all really in the past. I'd wear it to the office and on dates theoretically, when I go out it's mostly to the gym. Tried the Silver Mountain Water today first working from home, it smells nice but I don't really have any frame of reference. Going to try them all obviously (one per day to get idea of scent over time), any thoughts on these scents? I'm going on a trip to Mexico in April and it'd b nice to have one for that.

Buy a small bottle (5 to 10ml) to decant whatever you like the most. Also your pop had refined tastes, i would use those bottles just once in a while and not daily unless you want to smoke them out.

I can't see Cool Water lasting more than a few years, the constant reformulations have vexxed the majority of its long time users and the youths dislike anything that isn't sweet, the flankers don't sell that much until Intense and Parfum came out as emergency measures, one might produce some coins as it is a Sauvage clone for quite cheap. Influencers shill it all the way hence my double suspicion, some years ago nobody batted an eye on old Cool Water when talking about aquatics despite being the pioneer.
Such a fall from a decent house that was Davidoff in the 90's, going the way of Cacharel.

AI(chatgpt): Sure, I'd be happy to suggest some men's fragrances that fit the description of being green, grassy, and floral without including a rose note:

1. Diptyque Philosykos - This fragrance features top notes of fig leaf and fig, middle notes of coconut and green notes, and base notes of cedar and fig tree. It is known for its fresh and green scent that brings to mind a lush Mediterranean garden.

2. Creed Green Irish Tweed - With top notes of iris and lemon verbena, heart notes of violet leaves and Florentine iris, and base notes of Mysore sandalwood and ambergris, this fragrance is a favorite among men who love a fresh green scent.

3. Tom Ford Vert d'Encens - This fragrance features notes of pine resin, fir balsam, and incense along with a hint of floral notes that give it a fresh and green scent.

4. Penhaligon's Sartorial
