Well then what are we arguing about? I'm not advocating walking around in some niche novelty perfume that is designed to be maximally pissy. I just think animalic smells add complexity to perfume and it's sorely lacking in a lot of modern compositions. The clean-dirty thing going on in kouros etc.

I think I will be wearing this a lot in the upcoming weeks to balance out on the heavier fragrances that I've worn a lot lately (Ambra Aurea/PoAL). Give it a Google and see read some reviews on Fragrantica.

Why the fuck did i slept on H24 Parfum version? I was shocked that i discovered it and it has some moss and earthy notes there. H24 is big NO for me, smells like gummy bears.
If H24 Parfum just keep the steaming iron notes throwing in some earthy moss i would instantly waste my money on it.

It changes, 10 years ago a blue frag was a citrusy calone scent, also reminiscent of shower gel because fucking shower gel copies the frags of their era.
If shower gel was popular in the 80's it would've smelled like Antaeus or Kouros, in fact i had an Axe shower gel that smelled like a sweet and less spicy Aramis.

I used to work in an Amazon warehouse. Amazon differentiates between third-party sellers and items sold by Amazon. They're labeled with different barcodes. If something from a seller breaks, we have to let them know. Sometimes sellers commit fraud and sell rocks as high value items, like laptops, usually by reusing old boxes; that shit happens a lot with packages from China. Amazon buys directly from manufacturers and reputable wholesalers, so you can be sure that the shit they sell is probably real.

Cool Water didn't hit the mainstream until the very late 80's, Drakkar i'll give you that but it wasn't the only famous manly frag from its heyday.

Also as a sidenote for the fags who say GIT came first than CW, it did but Davidoff was the first to distribute it widely, almost no one knew GIT or Creed for that matter when Davidoff was already selling CW on major retailers.
Fucking zoomers and their retarded lack of context, also same creator and the latter creation was the "complete" formuoli, in his own words a Drakkar Noir fused with Grey Flannel and tobacco while GIT was a much greener Drakkar.

I'll second that after trying the EdP in Nordstrom
It does nothing to really alter the EdT other than having a thicker sweeter smell up front that eventually gives way to the exact same H24 experience
I was really disappointed because it seems like H24 could be a really interesting line if it was the banana smell that was switched out completely for a variety of notes in the flankers. Instead it looks like banana is a core feature of H24 and you either like it or you don't. I don't straight up hate it but I'm not going to buy it.

This is correct and also the most recent info other people working at Amazon have provided. Due to a lot of issues and scams in the past, Amazon separates the stock now and returns are checked better (although I only know about electronics being checked better, not perfumes). Official Amazon sales (both sold and delivered by Amazon) should be safe. I have heard from a lot of people on various forums who have ordered frags from Amazon recently and they all got the real deal. Personally I've ordered Cool Water, Cool Water Intense and Zadig & Voltaire This is Him, and they were all original as well. Should be noted that those are cheap juices, obviously, so probably less worth faking/scamming with.

>>17523913
In all honesty, it's not a meme. It's just Drakkar Noir in longer lasting. You get Drakkar Noir with marginal differences in scent. It's nothing to swoon over as some people have done in the last few threads, since DN isn't the epitome of fragrance and a complex masterpiece, but it's good and so is the amped up clone. Check out Cuba Prestige if you don't mind sweet gourmand frags and JeP Neroli Intense if you'd like a classic citrus-neroli frag and happen to be from Europe.

Didn't bother asking if that's real because I'm not standing in a line to spend that much money - the opposite is the case, I expect no line and great service for the premium I'm supposed to pay. Supposedly they have the entire frag lineup, though. You're still better off going to Galeria and checking the exclusive Dior line or going for all the stuff in the Breuninger warehouse. Parfümerie Pieper, L'Occitane and The Body Shop are around the corner as well as another "niche" frag shop which is somehow closed every time I went for it.

going to blog todays frag hunt, had to kill 6 hours in düsseldorf
LV: surprisingly easy to get into, no queue but it was 1pm and raining. nobody bothered me because i looker like a poorfag
all the frags were honestly mid. like not bad but not 300€ good or however much they cost now. might as well be any 60€ designer.
while trying to find tabac soap i went to manufactum, surprisingly interesting frag selection, even though i'm still soapless. they had eucris edt, knize ten and some penhaligon (spanish leather iirc). eucris really smells just like quorum, knize ten was nice too. i wonder if eucris has better longevity but its also 3x the price.
dior privee at galeria was interesting, moreso than LV. got a sample of everything they had because she had to close the shop heh.
the body shop was kinda boring, tested some of their EdTs but they were all meh. arber was the best one.
breuninger had a decent selection, first store i've seen that stocked lots of penhaligons. sohan was the most interesting brit. ysl tuxedo is overrated. unfortunately the only store in that city that has proper shaving stuff is permanently closed so i'm still tabacless.
tldr most hyped mainstream frags are mid, dior privee is good. subscribe to my blog

Going on a rainy weekday around noon might be perfect. I've only ever went to the LV store on Saturdays, once after work on a Friday. Absolute purgatory, zero chance to get in.
For Tabac, you want to go to a Müller store. They also have nice other soaps, I buy all my soaps from there. The store is elsewhere, though (Düsseldorf-Bilk), but they also have a designer frag selection. Rossmann or dm might have Tabac, but not the Tabac soap.
Tuxedo bottle was empty when I was at Breuninger, so it must have something going for it. I've also tested Concrete at the Breuninger and it really wasn't like concrete, but rather feminine smelling in my opinion.

müller and others only stock the refill shaving soap, not the ones in the bowl (tiegel), it's very weird and i don't understand why they do it. opposite would make more sense. parfümerie rook had it on sale yesterday but when i wanted to order today price was up again.
idk tuxedo was just kinda boring, like most LV. dior privee was a positive surprise though. and yes concrete did smell quite feminine, i expected something else

>DHI has won the "Best Men's Fragrance of all Time" award on fragrantica each year
Like Reddit awarding something each year and thinking it's not gay lol
Let's be completely honest for a second, most men who go into the deep niche of perfumery are homosexuals, one can see this in most reviewers on YT and lots of writers. We are an oddity in that we are the 80's-tier minority that check perfumes carefully just to save money or feel good at home, and we are neither homos (i believe, right?) nor look that strongly to impress chicks, we just like them for what they are, nice smelling waters.
With that i mean most perfume voters are homos and thus they vote for iris scents, shit that smells like anus after gay intercourse and pee. Kouros being an achievement in that it gets together both groups, the heteros who appreciate a clean fougere with risky animalic touches and homos who like a bit of clean soap in their gay bar snorkeling's piss urine scent.

there's always a code you can find for the best discount, right now it's BGPL2. The only time you have the best price is if you input the code and it says "40% off". The normal take is to link through google to fragrancenet, but it's slightly worse pricing than the 40% code. To find the code, you just google "current 40% off fragrancenet code"

Which era? reformulations are infamous with this juice and they might as well be two different frags.
For 2008 and to this day: Pick it, it's the same thing
>ghetto
You will smell ghetto if you act ghetto and smoke weed

For 2008 and before that, there's clones like Armaf Tres Nuit, supposedly Al Rehab Champion Black, allegedly Lattafa Raghba and some say Rasasi Egra, purportedly Al Haramain L'Aventure Knight.
The original unfinished version in Creed Green Irish Tweed is also a good alternative but costs 10 times more and doesn't have some notes from the classic Cool Water like heavy calone and tobacco, you might as well go with what anon said and purchase a vintage bottle. Pre-2000 are supposedly the best but rare, haven't smelled or read about the Pre-Lancaster days (pre-1992) when it was made in small batches for Europe but some say it was absurdly good but also very rare.

"Widely reported" is a stretch. The regular public frag communities actually report it as lasting longer than it did in my experience, but not necessarily as 12 hours, either. I got good performance out of it when sprayed on clothes and the performance didn't stop me from getting a bottle of it. It's probably the woodiest smoky fragrance that my girlfriend approved of (followed by Eau des Baux, which is already not that woody anymore).

My gf is kind of right about the homme, it is somewhat “perfumey” without being powdery or anything. I get a lot of that note, which I’m assuming is the cashmeran? alongside strongly identifiable cedar and a kind of ambery/citrus wood cleaner note I’m not into. Keep in mind I’ve never tried any of the original line and don’t even know what iris smells like desu.
I also agree with her that sport is better, but it’s not what I expected. Definitely goes straight to the incense on my skin, not super “heavy” but not exactly light and fresh either.
