is any frag worth 300+ dollars, like is there any fragrance that blew your mind so thoroughly you paid a luxury price for it?

i found azzaro chrome sport flanker at local rack store, clearance for 18 bucks, full size 100 ml bottle. its tagged as womens fragrance and in the womens section but im pretty positive there are no womens fragrances in the chrome lineup. should i pounce on this or try to wait for even more markdowns since nobody is going to be buying this mislabeled thing

Skanky, spicy and musky opening, dries down to a different, soft kind of woodiness. That transition is the strangest part in my opinion, from something offensive to many noses to something that would be office friendly.

Similar frags I'd say are Furyo by Bogart and to some degree, Lapidus Pour Homme. Though neither dry-down into anything as safe and inoffensive.

Eros flame has prominent vanilla and orange notes, I recommend you buy that one based on what you said over the original. Dylan blue is neither fruity nor particularly sweet.

You should also check out Azzaro Wanted edt, sweet (tonka) and fruity (apple and ginger) notes, fresh and nice, quite underrated.

well i went ahead and purchased this from my local rack store. as you can see , it has 2 clearance mark downs on it, i suspect from being mislabeled and in the womens section. most guys dont venture over there (they are complete opposite sides of the store) and a woman might not be familiar with a mens line like this so not interested.

was disapointed in this initially because the intense blast of lemon up front is very lemon-pledgy, but i think thats due to the alcohol mixed in, after about 10 or 15 minites , the wood cuts through the citrus and it smells really nice. i havent smelled versace man eau fraiche. after lookin at some youtube reviews it seems the general consensus is that eau fraiche is awesome but chrome sport has way better longevity for a fraction of the cost while being about 85% similar

My Beaufort London samples finally came in, and I gave some of them a try.

Terror and Magnificence has a really deep, gentle mix of smokey notes that I like a lot. You can smell the birch tar, smoke, tobacco and insense without each note overpowering the other. It'll probably be a bottle I pick up.

Vi et Armis, on the other hand, I find to be fairly repulsive. The spicy sweetness is cloying and doesn't work well with the very strong smoke aroma, in my opinion. Other's mileage may vary, but it's not for me.

I also got Couer de Noir and Iron Duke but I haven't tried them on for a long test yet. I definitely feel like I'll like Duke based on my first whiff.

I smelled it and I had smelled the same shit a million times in a million other cheapies. It immediately reminded me of Sun Men Lavender & Vetiver and they probably use the same cheap as shit aromachemicals. My preferred houses are still the designer houses with an in-house perfumer. I feel like they are the ones who put out a new "scent DNA" which then gets copied and/or "refined" by the faux-niche houses for a hefty markup, but you will still recognize the base signature as coming from a new designer creation. The clone I got smells slightly different than the original if you have them both sprayed on you, but you'd be hard pressed to tell which is which.
Sprayed on paper, the original has a slightly sweet-ish scent (maybe lavender?) that I don't get from the clone (but I get that from the clone if I smell the sprayer).

I read about the petrol notes, but it's very faint the way I experience it. Leather is much more prominent.
I enjoy it a bit myself altogether but the only reason I can say I do is because it's familiar.

I have never paid for windows and I mainly use Linux.

The smell can't really be described because it's nothing to describe. It's a "masculine cologne" smell. The note they call "clary sage" in Legend Red is found in many other fragrances of that type and sometimes also described as "lavender". It's some synthetic stuff and nothing natural. Once you've smelled a few similar cheapie fragrances, it becomes painfully obvious. Often mixed with "cedar" which doesn't smell like cedar or "vetiver" which doesn't smell like vetiver. In this case, it's mixed with "cedar", and it just doesn't create a great rendition of this copypaste formula.

Approximations, by blend quality we mean how "smooth" a scent is, by smooth i mean how the notes come around, sometimes a juice will have notes with tons of contrast almost like fighting each other, for example Cool Water has that astringent lemon opening besides the powdery lavender and it's very rough and edgy, something like BdC EDP is smooth, no edges and the notes come softly around. I think you are right. Also the tonka make it boring. I keep enjoying the herbal/medicinal opening, but the drydown is too tamed. Maybe with more incense it would work better...

But looking at it like that i cant really buy the old one anyway and the edt from what i heard barley lasts so i might just get the 2017 one. I checked and saw the base note is elemi but i have no idea if thats the thing i actually like that much
