Iron Heart is based. Its crazy how soft their 21 oz gets with dedicated wear, almost feels like wearing a pair of heavy jogging pants. Also, their UHF is insanely comfortable. If you are past your mid 20s and want to just resort to the standard timeless American fashion with jeans and button up shirts/flannels, then they are undoubtedly the highest quality you can get for that sort of thing.

When taking inflation into account, the price of a pair of IH jeans is relatively how much jeans would have cost before mass clothing production really took off in the 20th century. In other words, they cost what they should cost. Its only a relatively recent concept to have massive amounts of clothing produced at the cost of essentially slave labor. This is why people have massive wardrobes nowadays. Clothing actually used to take time to make which translated into a higher cost. Shit was definitely not as cheap as you thought it was. On top of this, when you buy a pair of IH you are getting a pair of jeans that are constructed with an insane amount of structural integrity compared to any mass produced denim.

I love IH and I wear a UHF everyday. I also have some 21oz 888s that I've had for a year but they have zero fades because I don't go outside much. I do have some older ones that I can confirm soften up like crazy. The 21oz denim is so fucking thick man. One of my fav things is when a chick notices them I say "it's so thick, feel it.." and they touch the fabric and their eyes bug out a little bit.

Worst thing about IH to me is their cuts. The 888 is basically the "skinniest" taper they make, and the bottom leghole is still super wide and flares out too much for my liking. Plus there's too much fabric in the ass and you can get that little floof of excess thing sticking out near your asscrack.

I know its hard to understand for some of you, but paying $300 on a pair of jeans and/or flannel is literally not a big deal for guys who are more settled.

>>17519241
As someone who squats, I highly recommend the 888 cut. I've worn the 777 (slim tapered) and I'm able to fit into it, but its not a comfortable experience. The 888 will give you more than enough crotch mobility and thigh room while also giving a very small amount of taper at the ankle. A lot of tapered japanese denim will have a very dramatic taper at the ankle, but IH in my opinion has the perfect amount of taper which gives a nice leg silhouette while allowing enough leg opening to make it easy to fit them over boots

Like I said and what you're admitting, it all comes down to having expendable income to blow on a niche product. There's nothing wrong with that at all. I was sold after my first pair
you get what you pay for, but I can only speak for the denim pants
can be a bitch to break in though, and the heavier weight denim isn't ideal for hot climates
wish I had some good pictures of mine but I gave both pairs to my friend when I was fat
tldr iron heart worth price
