Does this matter or is there a specific age where you're just supposed to wear certain set clothes?
I feel like you can basically go with a t-shirt and trousers your whole life with little conflict with your age. But some people say you need to "dress up" on every occasion after a certain point. I just feel like some people try too hard when you tell them this especially if they're not even that old.

>> No.17484021

HAVING A PERSONAL STYLE IS THE RESULT OF HAVING GOOD TASTE; DRESS YOUR STYLE, REGARDLESS OF AGE; IF YOU HAVE BAD TASTE, YOU WILL SEEM BAD, REGARDLESS OF HOW YOUNG, OR OLD, YOU ARE.

>> No.17484029

i think that's an old school way of thinking. nowadays, guys basically dress the same from their mid 20s to their mid 50s.

>> No.17484064

35 is when you should really examine yourself to see if you dress appropriately and make some changes imo.

nah. i usually hear it from incels or zoomer normies who are trying to ridicule older men who dress in a unique/fashionable way. its like they think hitting 30 means either only wearing suits or graphic t-shirts and jeans.

I want to say after you turn 21, or are in your 20s, you should know what to wear.
For example, as soon as I turned 22 all I wear now are either tartan patterned shirts for outerwear and wrangler cowboy cuts. Simple and timeless clothing IMO.
I tried to go for a neo-Victorian look before, but realized very quickly that it is very hard not to make it look like a very expensive LARP.

It means refining your taste into a solid and timeless look. Your experimentation phase shouldn't last longer than your mid 20's. You shouldn't be trend hopping or dressing like le uwu tik tok tranny past 25, or even past your teenage years for the very extravagant looks.

There's nothing more sad than seeing a 30 year old still dressing in what's considered 'cool' by teenagers or trying to cling to their youth by adopting a teenage aesthetic.
You can see the sad reality of the people who never grew up by looking at the lives of the 40 and 50 year olds who still dress 'punk' or 'goth', their lives are pitiful, they are weirdos and most likely broke and alone.
Maintaining an extravagant aesthetic is only feasible if you are some kind of celebrity of artist. Otherwise dressing like a clown, tranny, emo or whatever past your mid 20s will only negatively affect your life

If you are a well adjusted man, you'll eventually figure out that timeless menswear pieces just make sense, look good and will last you a long time. That coupled with quality casual clothes will build you a solid wardrove that will last you a long time.

Of course some people go overboard and just 'stop trying' and just become slobs who wear the same chinese tshirt for decades and just look like shit. That's just another side of the same coin of men who didn't really develop a personal style and mature taste

Honestly I think the fit in OP ranges from normal to good with the caveats:
-the scarf/bandana looks out of place
-the goofy way in which he's wearing the beanie
-not a fan of those glasses

>>17487173
The problem with zoomers is that they can't contextualize stuff and think they invented the world. In a way it's a problem all generations had, but with social media and being terminally online it gets multiplied tenfold in their case.
Not really their fault, though, they got thrown in this world but nobody bothered giving them the tools to navigate it.

Not really. It's farm work from sunrise to sundown (I should definitely be getting to bed now lol). But I ultimately feel fulfilled at the end of each and every day. The pay is just enough to meet my wants and needs so that;s nice too. My boss is a MILF who basically pays me to live there at this point. She treats me like her own so I haven't really got much to complain about except for hat I do throughout the day.
>Wyoming is quite beautiful.
Easily one of the most beautiful places in the country. I never saw so many stars in the sky before moving here. Standing in a field and taking in the surrounding landscape gives me peace and makes me feel free.
Colorado and Montana are great too. I'm from Georgia and I'll never go back to that hellhole.

We gave them ipads but didn't teach them to contextualize stuff instead of taking it at face value. There's a huge dufference between millenials and those who adopted internet in their teens prior to smartphones and social media and those who got an ipad on their hands when they were three years old.

Well I’m 29 now and I’ve just accepted that I can’t dress like someone from the movie hackers. I love my cavempt shit but it’s all packed away neat and safely for the right occasion.
Now I just let my wife pick most of the stores I shop at and guide the basics while I sprinkle in my own flair.
I think it’s been working out nicely.
