I just got a haircut couple days ago and the stylist put some product in it (bottom pic) and I was dumb and did not ask what it was. I really like how it turned out then, it stays close to my head and my hair looks lighter. I have a long forehead and so although I want some length on top, I can't have it standing too high or my head looks too long and I look like a dumb child.
I tried some fiber that resulted in top pic. Too tall, dark, hard, clumpy.
I think the stylist said it was a pomade she used but that didn't seem right to me because isn't pomade supposed to look greasier and shinier?

So I'v never had short hair, as in buzzed. So I was thinking of trying it out once to see how it is.
Should I try it out in the winter, where if it's shit, I can wear a hat and people rarely see me, and grow it out by summer.
Or should buzz it in the summer when it's naturally hot and I'd get a benefit from that, but if it looks like shit on me, I really have no way to hide it and it's also the time to be more social with the ladies.

About 2 months ago i started to wash my hair once a week (instead of twice) but i still think my hair is either frail or not thick enough and i get some strands here and there when i do my daily brushing. I used the same egg shampoo and some after care shampoo to feed my hair more but (i believe) to no avail.

Seems like your hair cant retain moisture, try to shampoo more on the scalp rather than hair so not to strip any natural oils.Use conditioner on every other day or just use water for it.Also check if you have low or high or normal porosity hair. Big s/o to that one anon who kept shilling hair soap to replace shampoo. My hair feels so much better afterwards. With shampoo (no matter what type and even with conditioner afterwards) it usually got really bloated, messy, frizzy and dry. But with hair soap it just stays calm with a clean scalp and smooth texture, and I can't tell for sure but I feel like I lose less hair too in the process. It's not completely without frizz but definitely a noticable improvement. Literally a game changer for me as someone with wavy thick hair. Get in on this anons
