Of course not. Why bother? There's a million blue fragrances out there to choose from by now, all with the Bleu base and a twist on top. What do they have that stands out?
As with all Armafs, I doubt they are anywhere near the quality of Chanel. Clones are rarely near the quality of the original and Armaf has been exceptionally bad at making good clones (in my experience). That being said, I can't find it at a proper price as of right now. Cheapest I found was 55€/105mL, which doesn't compare that well to the 77€/100mL I paid for BdC EdP. Unless they put a tester bottle in a store somewhere, I doubt I will ever have a reason to put my nose to this.

Do you buy spares of fragrances you love? Or just keep one and hope it's still in stock and for a reasonable price when you run out?

I'm iffy because 100ml does last a while especially with many others in rotation but then again it always happens that stuff I like disappears. I suppose I can always price gouge people for it on ebay if I get sick of it.

I aways have a backup bottle of the four or five fragrances I wear more than once a week. I don't buy backups of the common freshies I wear after I shower though (chiefly Versace Blue Jeans and Nautica Voyage) as I know they won't be discontinued anytime soon.

If you have extra cash it seems like buying back up bottles isn’t a bad idea. Prices keep going up and it’s likely they will change the formulation or discontinue so you price gauge sometime in the future. I like buying vintage classics and have a nice collection now. If I use it all I’ll be happy. If I sell them for more down the line I’ll be happy.

nearly 2 weeks of daily Secretions Magnifique
>dialed in to two spritzes, throat+wrist
>still sharp, fresh and salty.
>no noticeable noseblindness, if anything I am noticing more complexities as time goes on
>the metallic and saliva is still on there after 24+ hours
>none of my soaps can completely get rid of it
>mouth, throat, and sinuses are no longer completely enveloped at first spritz
>can still taste it however
>aunt nearly puked
>9 compliments so far, 4 negative reactions
>due to its longevity and refusal to leave my body, my couch, my bedsheets, my CURTAINS, everything smells like a beach orgy.
>fresh air from the open windows only strengthen it.
>despite all this, I cant help but find it incredibly alluring and sensual, its a freshness i have never experienced before in my life
sample ran out today, the bottle I ordered is stuck in customs limbo.
This is a magical fucking fragrance, and you are doing yourself a disservice by not dedicating at least a 2ml's worth of time to it.

They will use funny made-up terms like "cloying" or "headache" to make you buy more stuff. You need a rainy sunday noon in fall fragrance for making out in front of a TV showing a documentary? They got one. A movie instead of a documentary? They got another one. Different season, weather, time of day? They will offer you a fragrance for each of those. And even if it does, how much markup are you actually looking at? few hundred per bottle maybe or something like rive gauche pour homme or fleur du male, and then you have to account for all the times you guessed wrong and thought LNDL eau electrique or Le Male Aviator were going to make you rich

demand will be there if it was popular enough.
if you have the spare money and space there's really no issue with hoarding a few bottles if your favorites. if it continues being sold then you just use it yourself. if the brand fucks it over you have options. i'm not saying you should collect fragrances for the sole purpose of being an appreciating asset. that being said i myself only own 1 fragrance twice, namely avestan just because it's so hard to get. i wonder for how long the store will operate.
that being said it might be smart to get bottles of new-ish release or things that haven't been reformulated yet. while the RR of flipping vintage bottles isn't there anymore, i'd imagine "original formulations" to be worth the most.

If you want to turn women into nymphomaniacs, tobacco and leather will 100% NOT do that. Le Male and Sauvage usually work well enough already. Any recs for a wood based scent available in the US? I like sandalwood, balsam and labdanum, not a big fan of deep oud or overly fresh/sharp pine.
Trying to avoid tobacco, floral, fruity, sweet, fresh, citrus, except as top notes that fade quickly.
Nutty, rum/cognac, spices, leather, vanilla, and amber are fine as long as the wood is the main scent.

Something like the smell of an old wooden chest you found in your grandparents attic. You open it and get a blast of that antique woody air as it escapes. Not musty but not fresh either. Resinous.

>then why do so many people say that it did or does smell like gasoline?
He's retarded. A note is not the same as ingredients/chemical.

One ingredient might smell like something particular or have facets of different smells or depending how it's used, how much etc. So it might say two different notes on the list, but they come from the same ingredient.

Combine two or more notes and you have an accord, just like playing guitar.
You can recreate a note if a ingredient have been banned, by creating an accord. Like oakmoss, although you can still use a tiny percentage of real oakmoss absolut.
Or you can create a fantasy note like amber, which is typically made with Labdanum, vanilla and resins like benzoin.

I like the idea of having a signature, recognizable, interesting scent to wear every day to my classes but i dont know much about fragrances. i feel completely in over my head in this thread so was looking for suggestions from you pros.

I own pacifica blue moon, thats the only one i own atm. I like it, but i feel like it calls way too much attention to wear on a daily basis, its very loud and oversweet, especially with how lowkey i am. I want something that is more something people notice when they lean in, not something that announces itself whenever i enter a room.

Im young (20), female, very outdoorsy, quiet and tomboyish. I have an idea of wanting to smell like the woods, specifically like a mossy creek if you know what im talking about. That damp, muddy, fungal, slightly musty smell at the bottom of a riverbank, with a little bit of rotting wood mixed in. ty in advance for any suggestions.

Notes, though im not sure theyre applicable here:
I love the smell of vanilla, lavender, violet and amber. Oh, and i cant stand rose, it makes me think of my grandma
