this brown suit and yellow shirt have finally fulfilled the purpose I bought them for, a wedding of a family member.
I will say, I was not expecting to get as much use out of this brown suit as I did.
I only bought this suit to fit the color palette of the wedding, but with the help of a bulk-lot of 12 shirts and grey suede winklepickers I also bought on eBay, it's served me way better and longer than I was ever expecting it to.

I don't think I'm going to keep it any longer than I have to, since it's a 100% poly-rayon suit with a too-short jacket, but I was still lucky to have it fit as well as it did right out of the box. At this point, to part ways with it, and not have a better quality, better fitting suit in the same shade of brown would leave an awkward gap in my wardrobe. A lot of the shirts I have now would not go as well with say, a navy or grey suit.

Today's outfit: Trying to get more textures and patterns in my outfits. Jacket is grey tweed with flecks of orange, red, brown and blue. Shirt is green with a small birdseye print. The pants are brown wool but I'm unsure of exactly what type of fabric they used, it's 100% wool but it's a little heavier and rougher than my other wool pants. It's actually not that short, it's the right length for the jacket. If you have the top button done you shouldn't be able to see the tip of your tie.

Yeah I need to get like, all my pants taken in at the waist, but that would be ungodly expensive and I'd need to get all my pants dry cleaned (also expensive). I'd also feel bad having the tailor do that much stuff. I work in a suit store for context, and we have a tailor in store. eBay. I get 50 to 60% of my clothes off eBay. Brand is "Zero King" which sounds like it's a Japanese brand trying to sound American but it was actually a brand out of Minnesota until the 90s apparently.

They've got some very cool coats for well under $100. This coat is easily 50 years old and still looks brand new and it is warm as hell.

You're right, but in my defense my pants are a darken green, more of a loden or dark pine. The problem is the lighting fucking sucked so I used night vision on my phone and then brightened it a little so my colors are all wacked out.

Light tan or khaki would go better than the green but that's a little boring IMHO. I'm in the lookout for pants that are brick red, burnt orange or dark gold. They'd match better than the green, the problem is finding wool pants in colors like that is a nightmare on my budget.
