That’s subjective to you and another handful of people. You view it as a casual accessory, I view it as an accessory that can add style to your outfit. Look at the Cartier Tank or JLC Reverso or any slim dress watches. Hell, I’ve seen people wear even the Omega 300M in a suit and still looked fantastic. Besides it being an accessory, I like to read about them, especially the story behind different brands and how they came up with the design. Take for example the cheap Amphibia watch from Vostok, Bulova and another dude made it to Soviet set standards (easy to mass produce, water resistant, can take a beating, etc m) and the different workarounds they had to make to make these watches as cheap as possible. I’m by no means a Vostok fanboy, I just find stories like these interesting.

I wouldn't say crypto was a scam so much as it was a completely unregulated security with zero fundamentals. More like the Wild West. (Of course, there were still tons of scams that involved crypto, but crypto itself is fine.)

It was, and might still be, a great way to make easy money. Obviously, that small subset of people who got in early and got out early while never becoming true believers made huge bank. It will probably be harder for the next generation.

yes i make more here (not quite 300k but over 200 in finances) but my quality of life dropped since moving
quality of food, medical services and housing conditions are all worse, driving in the city is nightmarish and public transport sucks, i need to set money aside in case I get seriously ill or for when i'll want to send my kids to school and to be honest having a bigger number in my bank account ultimately didn't translate to me owning better things or anything like that because i was already able to buy whatever i wanted before moving to the us

Goys I'm trying to get an all rounder collection going. Currently I have the classic g shock 5600, hamilton khaki auto, a citizen pcat chrono, and I am looking for a diver/gmt watch but I'm not really sure what I want.

Steinhart looks really cool, I like the batman style but kinda want an original watch, not homage.
Orient kamasu seems OK and I may settle for it but I can't find one with the perfect color combo, although the blue or turquoise look good. I just have a niggling feeling about getting an orient when I coulda just got a seiko.
Seiko prospex looks nice and I even saw a land tortoise with the batman color and Sapphire but I see people complain about the qc with the bezel alignments, and it doesn't look quite as good as a kamasu plus no gmt. Gmt would be useful for me as I track meetings in EU and US times. Seiko 5 sports gmt fits all of those but the hardlex is fucking Jewish as hell for them to have it on a 400 dollar watch
