Well desu G-Shock will always scream tryhard because basically no one is really going to be taking one to it's limit and the implication your life is just that dangerous and exciting is kind of cringe, but then it is just a Casio which is the uno reverse card that makes it not cringe. See?

For resale and downstream costs.

Selling a watch that normally comes with a bracket on a strap (even a factory strap) is always harder and you may lose more money.

Plus, if you want to get the bracelet in the future it can cost upwards of a thousand bucks, while a factory strap (even with the factory buckle) will cost much less.

My G-Shocks have NATO straps.
One of them has the gen2 combi-bracelet.
The one I wear the most is the one with the combi-bracelet.
Which happens to be a positive display 5610.
The Jays&Kays adapters are probably my favorite.
The only thing is adapters on a G-Shock always extend out and don't conform to the wrist very well.
It's for this reason that I opt for the combi-bracelet most of the time.
No one has ever given my G-Shock a second look.
Stick with the classic square and you pretty much can't go wrong.
Also, getting a soft NATO is great.
Spend a little extra and go for comfort (no seat belt).

Do you specifically want a dupe of the Sneedmaster or do you want something that's just in that realm?

I'm a big proponent of living within your means and learning to love budget options instead of buying fakes or dupes that will just give you blue balls. The Glycine Combat Classic is basically of that essence, it's tasteful, much more affordable, and it's swiss (although people like to debate whether they were ruined by the Invicta buyout but that's basically like asking /k/ whether you should run 9mm or .45 so draw your own conclusions). So i say either do that or wait to afford the Sneedy like the other anon said.

I'm in the same boat as you. I love the Sneedmaster 3750.50, but I can't justify handing out the dough for it. I've bought the Pagani, worn it one single day and now it's sleeping in a drawer. I've bought also two Moonswatches (Uranus and Mercury) and two aliexpress fakes (Mercury and Moon) and I find them much more interesting, even the fake Moonswatches are more fun to wear than the Pagani.
But yeah, I still crave the Sneedmaster.
Sooner or later, I'll probably cave in and buy one, then instantly regret it considering it's a shitty movement with no second hack and poor accuracy. I will probably end up wearing it once or twice, then keep it as an investment.
In the end, that would be retarded, but I'd finally be cured of my craze.

The old 34mm size isn't actually that bad. My dad gave me his old Oyster Perpetual Date when he retired. It needs to be serviced (because I don't think he ever did in 30+ years) but in terms of wearability, it's fine.

Rolex Oyster case watches tend to wear a lot bigger than their diameter, because they're essentially cushion-shaped cases.

"The Mysterious Bezel Markings explained:
Yes it took me quite a while to figure out the meaning of the numbers on the inner turning bezel 20M, 30 M, 35 M and 40 M in different colors. I knew it had to do something with non-decompression times as always on divers. Finally I found the solution with the help of some dive tables on the web: The meaning of the markings are as follows:
20 M You can stay at 20 M depth during 45 to 60 minutes without decompression
30 M You can stay at 30 M depth during 30 to 45 minutes
35 M You can stay at 35 M depth during 15 to 30 minutes
40 M You can stay at 40 M depth during 0 to 15 minutes.

Example: Below is a picture assuming that you dove directly to the depth of 30 M and have set the 30 M marker at 17:23 at the start of your dive. Now it is 17:25 and you can read the remaining time you can dive at 30 M without need for decompression, in the example shown, about 28 minutes left to 17:53 (00 Marker)."

But like what style is the shirt? What style tailoring? How do you do your hair? Are you always looking pressed and crisp? Do you go for fabrics that have a lot of structure, more airy, more textured... your shirt collars, what style are they? Point, spread, are they tall, short, do you use collar bones, etc.

It just seems like the subtle originality of the parmigiani calls for a high level of sophisticated luxury in your overall presentation that is not noticeable at a glance. But in my head I'm picturing something that tries to strike the right balance but comes off as inadvertently loud because the idea of spending that much money on a watch seems like attention-seeking behavior. Like those people who wear white dress shirts that have a herringbone twill weave, ostensibly "subtle" but actually not.

Sorry not trying to make this into a personal attack on your style I just get anxiety over how I come off when I put together an ostensibly "nice" outfit and I'm trying to picture how I could pull off something like that watch without looking like I stole it. It's not just what the stuff cost it's the finer details.

It's not helped by the fact that a lot of models present themselves as "homages" to models seen in old movies with those actors/characters.

Sure that makes sense but these billionaire mindset gurus are effectively just replacing the Protestant Church as the corporate mouthpiece saying "Don't complain about being poor if you've ever committed the sin of resting, just work yourself into an early grave and the reward will come later", along with people like Jordan Peterson just advocating self-flaggelation as some kind of wholesome idea about cucking yourself to the system by really loving your role in the hierarchy, under the pretense you might move up it or at least Elon Musk will think you're cool if you do, really grinds my fucking gears because I almost bought into it.

Is that really what Tates advice is? Just work more hours to get rich? I'd wondered what his "get rich quick" guru shit was going to be but I didn't figure it would be something as mundane as "just work longer hours lol".

I hate to tell you this, but it'll probably be a mumbai special, a franken watch with a fake painted dial. All Seikos have the reference number printed on the dial at 6 o'clock.

There are far too many poorfag/street watches to choose from. If you're a wagie and wearing a 45mm thing with bells & whistles, you're not impressing anyone. Under $500, your watch should just do it's job - be readable, reliable and durable for whatever work you do. There's no way to fault that. No gold plated shit, not oversized... Or, alternatively - go with a gaudy Invicta, just don't go middle-of-the-road Invicta - go over the fucking top 55mm insanity with a rabbit's foot dangling off 6.
