I really want to get a Grand Seiko has my everyday watch. The only watch I have is a Timex Weekender. Is pic related a good option for my first Grand Seiko. Its within my budget and I would not want to spend more than $2k.

Yes, it is excellent. Note, however, that the dial isn't lumed, so if that's something you want, you'll have to pick a different model.

(Personally, I like lume, but I know it's overrated. The times when I actually need to read my watch in the dark and there's no light available are few and far between.)
