Could we get a thread where we post outfits that actually look good and not contemporary oh-look-so-random cringe?

People here are never really comfortable truly liking an outfit. Let alone posting any. Everything is somehow cringe. Unless it's a movie character. Cringe.

I think the outfit in pic related is basically perfect, not too fancy but far from basic, obviously a classic style but not stale or stuffy due to some of the details and cuts. And you can tell that it's comfortable and worn and appreciated. I always feel great dressing like it.

Not bad apart from the pointy shoes.

Disgusting.

I don’t like brown shoes for some reason, even when they’re not wrong for the outfit like in pic. In my head blue ones would look better but could be completely wrong. Is a nice fit tho, would love some trousers like that.

Subtle details and muted earth tones hold together this classic ensemble. I love how the light brown anchors and unifies the overcoat collar + buttons with the muted and antique banker stripe trousers and the shoes, while the forest green Argyle socks provide a fleeting pop of color.

Not a personal fan of earth tone dominated outfits but I really love this.

Love the trousers.

Come on, those shoes are barely pointed. Do you like clown shoes only?

Solid. This shares alot with thr styles I wear and personally enjoy. Classic but unique, with a worn in looseness that has a good balance of heritage influence without looking dated. Hard to put my finger on exactly what it is about this style I'll post some others I feel this way about.

tip for getting a coat like that? i know I could wear just any black coat but I've found that how they are cut makes a huge difference and I don't know enough about coats to really pick one. just any suggestion for a brand or keyword to look for which would fit me 5'11 fit-slim build and doesn't require me to be 6'3 as do many contemporary coats or will make me look like a chud larping as a gentleman, pre 80s clothing cuts, would be appreciated.

also not going to go into a suit or coat store "muh tailors" because expensive and or local nepotistic garbage.
I know I'm asking for a lot, but really I'm just looking for a decent black coat off the rack which will last me 5 years and still look decent.
