Growing up in the 90's and 2000's men's shorts used to be super long and baggy and below the knee...and to me that was how it should be. It was comfortable, looked cool, and allowed for several large pockets and a ton of pocket space.
However, in more recent years, I've seen shorts that go above the knee to mid-thigh trending, and it's just like why...it's not as comfortable, doesn't look as cool, and doesn't allow for a lot of pockets or pocket space!
In my opinion, men's knees and men's thighs just simply don't need to be exposed. Exposing just the calves is more than enough. Leave the above the knee look for the ladies only!
The biggest problem though is that these shorter shorts are taking over, and it's getting harder and harder to find the long shorts I'm so used to wearing. The shorter shorts are especially bad when sitting down and they ride up and become even shorter.

Men's shorts were shorter in the 70s and early 80s.

Also, going sleeveless is based.
The sleeveless + short shorts combo is kino, especially if you're super buff and ripped.
Especially if you're wearing stringer tank tops that show a lot of pec cleavage and expose your chest hair (if you have any).

>>17356992
And that was based.
I wish we can bring back those '70s/'80s men's booty shorts.
Men's shorts are getting shorter but we're not there yet.
Man legs are super sexy, especially if they're thicc and muscular.

Same, I gave up so now I get the ones that go slightly above the knee since those are the longest I could find. You could also get some pants and get them cut to your prefered length by a tailor.

>> No.17358124

shorts below the knee look goofy as fuck, plus they're way less comfortable (need to be baggy to not impinge movement at the knee joint)

Yeah.
I keep trying to convince my family that it looks awful even though they force that look on me.
I prefer wearing shorts that go above the knee, at the very least.
The shorter, the better

I also prefer wearing tank tops and muscle shirts but they keep giving me baggy T-shirts for some reason.
Lastly, they hate it whenever I wear shoes and they prefer me to wear flip-flops even though my feet feel naked in them.
I prefer wearing shoes outside even when I'm just going to the convenience store downstairs, and they hate it when I wear shoes.

What a retarded thread lmao. You can get shorts of any length you want.

Gotta compensate for shirts that don't show off the bod, instead of just wearing shirts that show off the bod. Mantights are on the horizon I can feel it.

I used to wear past the knee shorts in middle school and in high school looked back at photos thinking wow it looks like I'm wearing capris. Big boxy shorts with my already skinny ass legs.

5" inseam shorts and they're much more comfortable, breathable, I don't need space for anything other than wallet/phone/keys which the shorts do more than enough, and my thighs look great in them.

Marketers realized that they could save a ton of money by downsizing clothes while keeping the price the same. Same goes for the trend towards tighter fitting clothes in general for both sexes.

Late 30s boomer here. Big shorts are terrible, they make everyone's calves look like twigs. Don't make me live through the baggy clothing era again, it was a mistake then and it'd be a mistake now.

I'm Chinese and I live in the fictional desert planet known as the Philippines.
It's not really a desert but my mother and sisters are hypersensitive to the heat and they think I will get blisters on my feet if I wear shoes.
But if you have a dirty mind, you can also interpret it as my female family members having a foot fetish and thinking it's a tragedy when my feet are fully covered up.

If they hate the high temperature so much, they should move to the United Koreukrussiamerica. (Filipinos, for some reason, have this weird stereotype that all countries in the Northern Hemisphere are exactly the same and always snow, these include the UK, South Korea, Russia, Ukraine and America)

I like 8 to 9 inch inseams, anything else is too long or too short. I will never be one of those 5-7 inch inseam fags, they all look fucking stupid because 90% of them don't have the legs to pull it off.
