It depends on were you live and your AD, I have 1 AD in my area. I have £15000+ spent with them and can't get an Explorer of them (waiting from lunch) I go in store ever month or 2 just so show face. Some get all the watches and some get nothing.

The problem with Omega is you can tell their marketing teams have way too much power over the company. It's been the case since the early 1990s with the release of the Speedmaster 300 and that whole Bond thing, but these past few years it's been out of control.

These are generally extremely nice watches for the money but you should always pull up a YouTube video or two about a particular model to make sure it doesn't have any issues.

The Orient's case is indeed quite a bit flatter than the tall and bulbous SNXJ90, but the Orient has a domed glass so it's still not entirely flat. You're probably right though and I'll enjoy the 38.4mm variant. Especially since the 36mm is impossible to get your hands on.

That's a different question. Because the Explorer is so small and dainty, you can wear it as a quasi-dress watch. In that regard, you can have an Explorer as an only watch.

If you were to pair up the Sub with a Tank, Reverso, Santos-Dumont, or any other classic dress piece, you'd have a GOAT pairing.
You don't even need to spend that much on the dress piece.

Watchmaking technology exploded in the last 20 years, the detail and precision of even 150 dollar watches is insane compred to old luxury watches. Materials like sapphire crystal have become standard when they used to be unattainable luxury not that long ago. Very durable, sure, it's just that you have to think about what you're getting.

Generally i agree, but tudor has been making some much better looking watches lately. The pelagos and the pelagos 39 especially is fantastic, the black bay 58, the newer chronographs, hopefully they make a 36mm version of the new ranger.
But yeah the black bay 36, the black bay gmt, whatever that integrated bracelet thing is don't do anything for me. They really need a tudor equivalent of the OP, i don't think the bezel less black bays really scratch the same itch
